Aparthotel Nou Vielha — Hotel in Vielha e Mijaran

Nou Vielha offers cheap accommodation in a cosy, unpretentious fashion.||The establishment boasts several apartments. I was given a duplex which was not enormous but nice and comfortable. Downstairs there was a small kitchenette (not new, but clean and equipped), a sort of living room with a sofa, a TV set and a small cupboard and a dinning area with a big table and some chairs. The room had wooden sloping ceilings, making a nice effect. Climbing the wooden stairs, you get into a sort of the mezzaninne boasting a bedroom, wardrobe and a regular-sized and very clean bathroom. This upper floor also had nice wooden beams and ceilings, very appropriated in the Pyrenees. Nou Vielha also has its own covered parking lot, paying a small extra. The establishment has a good location in one of the main streets of this beautiful town, so everything is very close -including a good supermarket-. The only downside is that the street is a bit noisy, as it is a main road too; many lorries on their way to France seem to pass by in the night, but that´s not a big issue either.||Familiar and friendly staff.||Last but not least, the most outstanding feature of Nou Vielha is their incredible price quality ratio, seeing the deals they regularly offer: you get a more than comfortable accommodation at very...

This is my first trip to the Vall D´Aran and my first season skiing in Baqueira,and all I can say about the Aparthotel Nou Vielha is: PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE!!!!!||Perfectly located in the center of Vielha (if you are self-catering, Mercadona is right around the corner), the room was great: huge windows, huge bathroom with bathtub, perfectly appointed kitchen, more than enough hooks to hang your ski clothing after a long day (right above the radiator so they dry out and are warm and cozy the next morning - somebody was thinking "comfort" when designing the apartments), large and comfy mattress, pull-out couch in the living room (I slept like a baby!!!) and superclean! ||However, what makes this Aparthotel stand out from the rest in the area is the wonderful, warm, welcoming, helpful staff of the reception. I got sick in our first week, and they went out of their way to help and kept asking my companion every day how I was. I can't review this aparthotel more highly for the price paid.. I stayed there for ten days during a heatwave with my small dog. All the staff were cheerful and my room was very clean. I was surprised to find a top class fan provided in both the sitting room and the bedroom. The bathroom featured a very smart walk in shower with brand new fittings. I asked for a quiet room, which was provided. The hotel is on the main road through the town, so in the summer months, if you like windows open, this is the best option. This hotel is especially popular in the summer as dogs are welcome to stay. There seemed to be many other dogs during my visit and everyone seemed very responsible and I didn't hear any barking or noise.
