Hostel El Campano — Hotel in Villafranca del Bierzo

I have seen them building the hostel the first time i walked the camino and saw how it got finished last year in 2023. It's super new, fresh and the owners are super involved. Apart from it being new and fresh, this also means there is almost 0 chance for bedbugs since the place is super well constructed and they keep it über clean. The view is amazing and there are some small drinks/food you can buy in the hotel/albergue. I stayed here for 1 night while on the Camino in a private room with private bath. The hostel is very clean and thoughtfully designed. The main floor has a small seating area, kitchenette (all necessary things except stove top/oven), a little shop for drinks and snacks, as well as laundry which was complementary. We stayed here for one night on the Camino de Santiago. The staff are very friendly. The place is newly renovated and the decoration is modern and calming which blends in well with the Camino’ atmosphere.
