A Perfectly Clean Oasis of Comfort
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Garden rest for a rejuvenating getaway from kandy. From every moment spent at this rest house was a delightful experience.
From the moment I stepped in, the level of cleanliness was immediately evident. The rest house was impeccably maintained, with a pristine ambiance that set the tone for our stay. The attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness was truly commendable. It felt like the entire property had been prepared just for us.
The comfort and amenities provided only enhanced our stay. The beds were so comfortable that I had some of the best nights of sleep in a while. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, making it easy to prepare our own meals. It was evident that the owners had put effort into ensuring that guests felt at home.
The staff's efficiency and friendliness were noteworthy. They were quick to address any inquiries and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. It's these small interactions that add a personalized touch to the stay.
I also appreciated the hygiene measures taken, especially given the current situation. The rest house was visibly well-sanitized, and we felt secure knowing that our health and safety were a priority.
The rest house's location was perfect for a tranquil escape. Nestled in the heart of nature, it offered breathtaking views that were a treat to wake up to. One morning, I enjoyed a cup of coffee on the balcony, taking in the serene surroundings – a memory I will cherish.
Overall, my stay at Garden rest surpassed all expectations. The combination of exceptional cleanliness, comfort, and attentive staff made it a memorable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this rest house to anyone seeking a peaceful and clean haven for their next getaway.
A heartfelt thank you to the Garden rest team for creating such a wonderful retreat. I'm already looking forward to returning in the near...
Read moreWe stayed at Gaga Diya for two nights! At first we were delighted with our room, which was clean and comfortable. The shower pressure is not good and the wifi was not working really good! The owner offered to make us lunch and we enjoyed a home cooked meal. The owner also offered to take us on a safari with his own jeep which we booked for the next day. However please note that everything offered here comes at a price! The food cooked is good (we had lunch and dinner) however overpriced at 950rp per person in comparison to other homestays and restaurants! With each meal a bottle of water is offered however at check out we saw that this was charged as well! We asked the owner to pack our breakfast for our bus ride, in the bus we discovered that only half of the breakfast was actually packed. We took the safari and paid for the car with the owner, at the park we needed to pay entrance for ourselves and also for the driver and his son, also we paid all administration fees and the cost for the car! Which ended up being 1000rp more expensive then what was told to us by the owner when booking the safari! At the last day we were brought to the bus stop by the owner, it seemed like a service however at the bus stop he charged us 500rp for this ride which costs 40rp by bus! We told him we were not happy about this but he couldnt be bothered! Please keep in mind when staying here that everything comes...
Read moreI can’t find fault with this place. Although a homestay rather than a hotel, the tuk-tuk drivers at the station knew the place, which is a good sign. The rooms are spacious and adequately equipped, although mine didn’t have A/C - apparently it’s cool enough in Kandy (temperature, not vibe). Breakfast is fine - eggs, fruit, toast, tea/coffee - and I’d recommend trying the in-house curry and rice in the evening (not exactly spoilt for choice restaurant-wise nearby). Madam is friendly and helpful - she can help arrange some trips, and same-day laundry - and the thing I particularly liked is that everything is very well-organised. The price is reasonable, around $30 per night through Booking.com, less if you book direct. I stayed here 4 nights and am happy I did 🙂 It’s in a very quiet location, which is a significant...
