Gosh, I don’t know where to start. There are 2 rooms here that are exposed to the road noise, and if you’re on the end of the building nearer Why Not hostel, be prepared for very loud screaming and party music until the early morning. In addition, there was a power trip at 1.30am, we tried knocking on the owner’s room door, it was left unlocked and we tried calling, talking, he ignored us all the way. In the morning around 7.30am, he finally appeared. So that is 6 hours trying to sleep with no light, no fan, no ac or any kind of ventilation. In sri lankan weather, you can imagine! Hair dryer can be borrowed.||||We haven't tried their breakfast as we woke up very early to whale watching. But for the cleanness of the room, will definitely...
Read moreGG Lodge was our last hotel on the tour through Sri Lanka but was the best one out of all we've visited. ||I can definitely say that this hotel should cost way more than is priced on the booking.com.||For the relatively cheap price you will get:||- unbelievable cleanness from the room to 3 packs of towels;||- comfortable beds;||- A/C which is super needed in this hot country;||- delicious breakfasts. I don't know how I will manage without them. ||But the biggest asset of this place was its owner. Kelum is extremely helpful and friendly host. He has recommended us good places to eat, surf and party in Mirissa. It was super hard to leave home after such a wonderful stay. ||I will be recommending this place to my friends and will for sure come back again...
