Pawana Rest — Hotel in Sri Lanka

Stayed here for a single night, after staying in Dehiwala previously, and I don't regret it! ||Its quiet place, leisurely with a calm atmosphere. The rooms are good, and minimalistic. The place is well maintained and clean, and has a very relaxed vibe to it.||The host family is really sweet, and very welcoming and hospitable. They don't speak much English, but their children do, and they help their parents run this establishment very well. There will be no communication problem, so that's not a worry :) ||The hosts are very accommodating, and really sweet. (Can't emphasize this enough!) ||The food served here is great and it's all home prepared. For breakfast there's the traditional English Breakfast and dinner has some of the local cuisines which are delicious. ||The hosts are also really helpful and will give you information as well as contacts, if they can, for various activities! ||Located around 500meters away from the bus stop, you can avoid the TukTuks and walk here if you don't have much...

Love the location and how clean the home and rooms were kept, the beds also were made every day!.. Easy to get to all the sight seeing, the bus terminal, restaurants, and banks. Also great location as its tucked away from the main road so there is no noise from all the traffic. The biggest thing that we loved was the family that runs pawana, they are so flexible, helpful and honest I wanted to stay at their home forever. They make great breakfast and arranging a breakfast time was no problem. They helped us in detail with our itinerary, laundry and even drove us to the bus stop at the end in their tuktuk! Would come back to Sri lanka just to visit...

We had a very good stay at Pawana Rest. You can easily walk to main road, but it is far enough off the main road so it is quit and peaceful. The facilities are very clean and our bed was very comfortable. Our room had a ceiling fan for those more tolerant of the heat, but we took advantage of option to have air conditioning (was quite warm during our visit). The breakfast was also very good. |The owners also helped us arrange transportation to local attractions |In summary, this was an extremely good value place for us and we would highly recommend it as a base for your visit...
