Quality Hotel Royal Corner — Hotel in Växjö kommun

They rate this hotel as 4 star but I would rate it 2 to 3 stars only - although the breakfast is truly fantastic - a 5 star breakfast. Whilst the hotel is quite tired in its decor etc it was very clean. A major gripe is that they do not automatically service the rooms each day. You have to 'opt in' for a service rather than having an opt out policy. This is not written anywhere - even at the hotel there is no sign at reception and they rely on the staff communicating this - it was not communicated to us so we got no service & only found out after returning from a day out. The towels are thread bare & definitely need to be updated. It looks like the hotel is slowly refurbishing - our bathroom was remodelled though not well as the floor gets very wet when...

The floor moulding and the floor wasn't dust free?! The beds stood apart but only one bed had an outlet? No mini fridge or tea service in the rooms and bad easily breakable toilet paper, a bit old with beige toilet and sink.

In the morning there where no arrows or otherwise that told us where the breakfast was at. No description for what all the types of breads had in them, no sign on or beside three lids that said: here's bacon, here's scrambled eggs! But it where modern with a touch screen for different kind of juices. The staff said good morning or hello, very nice. But in all, a good mix of modern and old.

Smooth checkin and was provided a room on the 4th floor. Clean and comfortable room that had all the necessary amenities. Decor might look dated but didn’t affect the quality of stay. ||Folks at reception were fantastic and even allowed me a slightly late check out without any extra changes. ||Breakfast was a really good spread and it’s included in the price. ||The reception area has free water, tea and coffee, a few games and lots of comfortable lounging areas to hang about. ||The place is located very close to a central street with loads of restaurant and also convenience store. ||It is 10 min walk from the railway station. ||Would definitely stay here again if...
