texas longhorn is a decent spot for casual dining

there were 4 of us, the two girls had the ladies steak, and the two guys had the 'big ass' steak

for the price, it was just okay - the size and cut were great, but compared to american standards, it was nothing special if im being honest

if i received that steak and those flavors at an american steakhouse, i would be highly disappointed, but for sweden, maybe it is good enough

the nachos are just tortilla chips served with dip sauces, the corn was very good, however, and so were the potato sides

the caesar salad had a very creamy dressing, but it tasted mostly of just that, cream...i was pretty shocked that the dressing was not an actual caesar dressing

desserts are not pictured, but we're all very good - overall, this is a nice spot if you want a steak, burger, or ribs but do not expect to receive a top...

We did enjoy our evening at the restaurant. The filet steak was tasty. However, the veggie burger obviously was made from mycoprotein, probably a brand named Quorn? Many people are allergic to it and even if not it can cause severe nausea. In my wife's case 1 1/2 hours of throwing up. You probably did not know about mycoprotein. Now you do. Jag besökte Texas Longhorn i Växjö tillsammans med en vän och vi beställde varsin ryggbiff på 200 gram. Maten var mycket god, väl tillagad och atmosfären i restaurangen var trevlig. Den person som serverade oss var också väldigt trevlig och professionell.

Tyvärr blev jag väldigt besviken när jag senare såg på kvittot hemma. Jag upptäckte att jag hade blivit debiterad för två portioner på 400 gram vardera, istället för 200 gram som vi hade beställt. Det innebär att vi betalade dubbelt så mycket som vi borde ha gjort.

Jag tog bilder på maten, sparade kvittot och kontrollerade vikten via olika källor, inklusive AI, för att säkerställa att vi verkligen hade fått 200 gram per portion. Med denna information kontaktade jag restaurangen, men de vägrade att erkänna misstaget och insisterade på att vi hade fått 400 gram per portion, trots att allting tydde på motsatsen.

Detta känns som ett tydligt prisfusk, och jag är mycket missnöjd med hur situationen hanterades. Jag förväntar mig ärlighet och rättvisa från en restaurang av denna standard, men tyvärr levde Texas Longhorn i Växjö inte upp till detta. Jag kan rekommendera att kontrollera kvittot och kommer själv att undvika att äta där...
