We didn’t really expect much since our options were limited—we had only booked our flight to Taiwan a week before departure, and it was Christmas week. After extensive research, Walker Hotel was the only option that met my mother’s standards.
The room we got had no windows at all, but it was very big and spacious. However, on our first night, we couldn’t sleep because it reeked of cigarettes.
The bathroom was decent and even quite cute. However, getting from check-in to the elevator was a bit of a journey, especially since I was traveling with my mom. There was a free buffet, but we never got the chance to try it as we preferred exploring highly recommended local restaurants.
A major downside of this place is its distance from the city’s busier areas. Traveling required multiple train transfers, and there wasn’t much within walking distance to see.
Overall, it was an okay place to stay, but if we had more time to prepare for the trip, I don’t think I would have booked it. I feel like we could have found better value for our...
Read moreI stayed for 4 days with my friend there and I'm really confused about what to think. -first I think the price is really good (especially for €) so I cannot rlly complain a lot for the price but I just want to share what I saw and felt about that place -the room was nice, very big bed but the floor was a bit dirty and even after "cleaning" there is still some dead bugs on the floor. Also the bathtub was a bit dirty everytime and idk why it was moving I felt like it was not stable. -breakfast really simple but good, nothing to say -staff are nice, we talked to a man really nice and kind for check-in with us but many times we also had a lady kinda rude with us for no reasons. But they do speak English at least so it's nice. -the place is not horrible but there is really better. I think more than a week there would feel not convenient. Also location is not bad but there's really not much around u have to walk a lot and take subway or just visit a park.
Anyway you can give a try. Let's say it's a bit...

The staff were friendly and responsive, and the room service I requested arrived quickly, which I really appreciated.
However, I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel, especially the bathroom. It was very old and didn’t feel clean enough to use comfortably. During my two-night stay, I even went to a salon just to wash my hair, as I didn’t feel comfortable using the shower facilities.
It seems that cleanliness may not be a high priority at this property. If your budget allows, I would recommend spending a bit more for a place with better hygiene standards.
Since I had prepaid as part of a large group, I stayed as planned — but under different circumstances, I would likely have chosen another hotel for a more comfortable stay.
Unfortunately, I don’t think I would return to this property next...
