EP-Books — Attraction in New Taipei

I really like this place. Very relaxing. They don't have any English books to speak of, but a decent selection of coffee table-type books. Most people have their own things going on and aren't reading the books provided. They don't have Wi-fi or outlets and they will hush you if you are being too loud, which makes it a nice respite from the usual cafe types. I would really like it if they would have some renewable options for milk/creamer instead of the single serving plastic mini creamer cups (like a creamer dispenser). Truly, truly a gem in Taipei. For a modest 100nt entry fee, you have unlimited access to browse their library of books from many subjects spanning art, photography, food, etc, with many options in English or Chinese available. The bathrooms and facilities are well kept, clean, with modern furnishings and comfortable AC and a wonderful self serve corner with unlimited hot coffee (sugar and creamers provided), tea (jasmine, black, green or oolong tea bags available), and winter melon slushie. Great place to relax and read or work. You pay 100NT for entry and can then drink all the coffee & tea you want. The place is big and bright with lots of seats and lots of books to read while there. Most books are coffee table style books, cook books, photography books etc. They don't have WiFi, which is probably the reason why it's always so nice and quiet.
