Uni Resort Ku-kuan — Hotel in Taichung

I am so happy we decided to spend our anniversary here! It was a wonderful experience and worth every cent. Our room had a beautiful view of the river, was spacious and included all the toiletries you’d want. Our room included afternoon tea, which is in their restaurant with huge windows overlooking the river. Stunning! The tea set meal was lovely.

We went to the hot springs after tea and they’re absolutely divine. So relaxing and the gorgeous surroundings couldn’t be more picturesque. There are so many different pools with different temperatures: there’s also a badminton court, basketball, a children’s play area, a small gym and massage chairs downstairs.

The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating the entire time. Everyone made sure we knew where to go, and several of their staff members spoke excellent English. Our dinner was also included but a lot of it was seafood, most of which I’m allergic to— they made me different food to accommodate my allergy and insisted we not leave til we were full. It was delicious! Anytime we needed anything at all, someone would help.

We enjoyed the buffet style breakfast and were pleased to see them issuing gloves for everyone to wear (as a virus precautionary measure). I also appreciated that all their staff were wearing masks, and that our temperatures were taken and hands sprayed with alcohol immediately upon entering. They also checked our passports and travel history and made copies of them, which I also appreciated as a way to keep track of things right now.

Resort has an small arcade room with claw machines. They also have air pistols, archery and table tennis for you to play. Need to pay. Table tennis is free. There is a basketball court too. Was worried that this place will be boring for my boys at night but ended up they had fun there! Hot spring outdoor was great with the view. Amazing. Nice.||You can get towels from basement for use at the hot spring. Many locals visit this place. I guess I was there during weekday so it was not crowded which makes it great for soaking in the hot spring.||Dinner was not bad. Generally most food ok if not too choosy. I would consider them acceptable. But the fish was "silly". We were a group of 6 and the fish was only half a fish. First time being served half a fish. Uni-President resort KuKuan is a great place for enjoying a peaceful and relaxing holiday with family. ||We visited in September and found lots of fun| in welcoming dance, delicious food, hot springs spa, games room, spacious room with beautiful scenario from high windows as well as hiking and exploring the nearby bridges & parks. ||Breakfast buffet includes both western and Asian style food with lots of varieties and yummy cousins. Staff are friendly and professional, facilities are clean and well maintained in good condition.
