The location of the hotel is one of the best in Dushanbe, it has stunning views from the room. The quality and size of the rooms are the best, very spacious rooms, large bathrooms and very well spaced corridors and the lobby.||I cannot think of any improvement areas to mention, so let me say a few good things your staff have been doing to meet the guests satisfaction. ||||Everyone in the front office were warm and super efficient, so don't want to mention any individual, all of them were great. The housekeeping staff were very efficient and the rooms were cleaned spick and span by refilling all the amenities. The room service and the bar service were equally good, I was made to feel at home every time I had interacted with the team.||Great job, keep up the good work.||||One of the best spa I had experienced here, I visited the swimming pool at least 8 times during my 10 days stay and the timing was perfect, it opens from 6 am till 10 pm. It is well maintained covered and heated pool. The Sauna, Steam, Jacuzzi and the cold splash pool adds to the relaxing experience. ||||Pankaj Shahi, the head chef needs a mention definitely. It's not easy to express in words, what all he did to make me feel home. I had invited a guest for dinner, who was a client and staying out of India for a long time and was craving for Indian food. I had requested Pankaj in the same day morning and then he ensured he got the quality meat for the evening, he had rejected the meat from one vendor and selected the meat from another vendor. He made the rotis himself and served us hot food at the dinner table himself, he stayed late than his usual duty period to oversee everything was perfect. Read moreThis is an old, rundown hotel. Expect stained and poorly patched carpeting, toilets that run, and faucets that drip. Don’t bother asking them to fix anything because they’ll just keep sending an engineer who won’t actually fix it. Then when you ask to change rooms they’ll claim they can’t move you until the engineer tries a fourth time to fix the same things you keep asking about. (Though because I insisted and was clearly agitated they did eventually agree to move me without waiting for the engineer to not fix things again.)
Staff will call your room at all hours. The spa called me at 10:20pm to ask to move my appointment for the next day back 15 min. I was super jet lagged and already in bed trying to sleep when they woke me up.
The wifi only works about half the time.
If you order room service, they won’t leave a tray so you have to have them in your room a second time if you want the dishes cleared that day rather than being able to put the tray in the hallway.
Think of this as older 3 star hotel and your expectations will be met. Hopefully they’ll renovate the rooms and better train the staff to regain...
