Bird of Paradise Eco Lodge — Hotel in Arusha

The Bird Of Paradise Eco Lodge is close to the centre of Arusha and yet far away from the hustle and bustle. Between spacious sandy streets, a few small houses and stands belonging to the locals and a few other hotels here and there it offers a small oasis. ||As a guest, I was driven straight there and given a friendly welcome by the staff, who spoke English well. All the rooms were clean, tidy and had their own charm thanks to the rustic furnishings. I was able to relax in the idyllic garden with flowers. The free WIFI works smoothly. ||Food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and drinks can be bought directly directly at the lodge. Everything is freshly prepared, was very tasty and maximum 20.000 TSH (under 07.00 EUR). There was meat, vegetarian and vegan options, so something for everyone. There is also a supermarket nearby.||What makes Bird of Paradise an Eco Lodge is that it uses renewable energies. Solar panels on the roof heat the water. I was able to take an environmentally friendly hot shower. Various drinks such as water can be bought from the staff in glass bottles. These are returned empty, get cleaned and reused, which saves an incredible amount of plastic. I could also see that the staff use cloth bags instead of plastic bags. Some things are being renovated here, e.g. I was told that the toilets will soon be able to be flushed with rainwater.||I felt safe all round and would definitely recommend the...

We stayed in the birds of paradise Lodge during our Safari with Paradiese Safari. Currently, they are building additional rooms, but Plan to be finished in the next month.

The rooms are clean, they have a lovely garden, each room has its own terrace with lounge chairs. The team is very helpful and kind.

You can eat there in the evening. Since yesterday, they have an own (new) dining room where they serve breakfast and dinner. The rates are very fair! We can recommend the pilau for dinner and the banana pancakes for breakfast by Neema who is a really great chef! Just a heads-up information: they ask you in advance what you want to eat for planning, for breakfast and dinner.

The lodge is located in a rather poor looking neighborhood. We did not go out at night alone. But we felt really safe at all times!

Nachhaltig, authentisch, gemütlich! Die Bird Of Paradise Eco Lodge liegt nah am Zentrum Arusha`s und ist doch weit ab vom großen Getummel. Zwischen weiträumigen Sandstraßen, einigen kleinen Häuschen und Ständen der Einheimischen und hier und da weiteren Hotels bietet sie eine kleine Oase. Als Gast wurde ich direkt hingefahren und vom Personal, das gut englisch spricht, freundlich empfangen. Alle Zimmer waren sauber, ordentlich und hatten durch die urtümliche Einrichtung seinen eigenen Charme. Im idyllischen Garten mit Blumen konnte ich entspannen. Das freie W-LAN funktioniert bestens. Essen (Frühstück, Mittag, Abendbrot) und Trinken kann direkt von der Lodge gekauft werden. Alles wird frisch zubereitet, war sehr lecker und jeweils unter 07,00 EUR. Es gibt Optionen mit Fleisch, vegetarisch und vegan, also für jeden was dabei. Es gibt auch einen Supermarkt in der Nähe. Was Bird of Paradise zur Eco Lodge macht, ist das auf erneuerbare Energien geachtet wird. Solarpanels auf dem Dach wärmen das Wasser auf. Ich konnte umweltfreundlich warm duschen. Verschiedene Getränke wie Wasser kann vom Staff in Glasflaschen gekauft werden. Die werden leer zurückgegeben, gereinigt und wiederverwendet, was unheimlich viel Plaste spart. Ich konnte auch sehen, dass die Mitarbeiter Stoffbeutel statt Plastiktüten verwenden. Einiges ist hier im Umbau, z.B. wurde mir erklärt, dass die Toiletten demnächst mit Regenwasser gespült werden können. Ich habe mich rund um sicher und willkommen gefühlt und würde die Unterkunft...
