Njiro Complex — Local services in Arusha

I have been in Tanzania for 3 months now and had enjoy this complex greatly throughout my time in Arusha. I am a student here and my classmates and I often go to the complex to do work and eat when we have breaks. My experience there had always been pleasant with friendly staff who always spoke with us because we were there so often. Until one day when a very rude, what I assume to be manager, came up to us and asked us if we would like some coffee and when we politely declined he went on to accuse of of loitering for hours, using the wifi, and then leaving. Also, using very harsh language which I found to be completely unnecessary and unappealing. Needless to say I will not be returning or spending my money...

It's a nice complex to visit. There are a lot of restaurants here and out door sitting which is really nice on a hot day. But if you sit outside you will be mobbed by all the waiters giving you menus. Just pick the one you want and the rest will go away. But it can be good if you have a big group then everyone can have something different. There's a large variety, Asian, Indian, hamburgers and ice cream. Njiro complex is one of the oldest mall in our city. Over the years the mall has slowly moved being a middle class mall to a more upscale mall that caters to the city’s elite. The cinema space is not the best compared to Aim mall. The selection of stores has gone down compared to the past. However the place has potential to bring back the crowds it once had.
