Read moreStarting with the good points. The place is nice and clean. The food I ordered (rice with beef stew and curry) was very tasty. The food was not super hot but acceptable. As a drink I had a very delicious juice. They also had an english menu.
Unfortunately this is where the good things end. We were 7 people and they seemed heavily overwhelmed with such a big group of tourists. We waited over an hour to get our drinks and another 2 hours to get the food. As much as I understand things work differently here, this is just not acceptable. Given the long time waiting half of the food we ordered was rather cold and one meal wasn't eatable at all. I have to mention that they'd compensate with a milkshake for that one meal and we didn't had to pay for it.
Please also be aware that you can only pay with Tanzania Schillings and the "pay by phone" option (which beeing a tourist from Europe I do not know how it works). Payment by credit card or Dollars/ Euro isn't accepted. However if you need local currency there's an ATM just around the corner at the "cinema" place.
So to sum this up, my meal was good but be prepared for a long time waiting especially if in a...

The family of six got their food after over an hour, they ended up packing their food, and we got it after 85 minutes. They kept on telling us it’s ready, but it wasn’t, they were not being...
