The Oak, a delightful small restaurant nestled in Njiro Quarters, Arusha town, is a hidden gem worth discovering. From the moment you step inside, you are enveloped in an inviting atmosphere with its beautiful interiors. Unlike many bustling eateries, The Oak is refreshingly uncrowded, allowing for a serene and intimate dining experience. One of the highlights of The Oak is its delectable meat recipes and juice creations. I ordered a chicken escalope with potato wedges, which was impressive. The menu boasts a variety of mouthwatering dishes that will tantalize your taste buds without emptying your wallet. The affordability of the meals and juices is a pleasant surprise, considering the exceptional quality of the ingredients used. Freshness is key at The Oak, and it shows in every dish. The food is prepared with the utmost care and attention, using locally sourced ingredients bursting with flavor. Whether you opt for a succulent steak or a vegetarian delight, each bite is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality. Adding to the overall charm of The Oak is its friendly and attentive staff. The warm hospitality and genuine smiles create a welcoming ambiance that leaves a lasting impression. In conclusion, The Oak is a delightful haven for food enthusiasts in Arusha town. With its beautiful interiors, relaxed atmosphere, affordable prices, and fresh, delicious offerings, this small restaurant is a must-visit. Whether you're looking for a satisfying meal or a refreshing juice, The Oak delivers an unforgettable dining experience that will leave you craving more.

We were there 3 days in a row and the breakfast was always really great. Also the service is friendly! The pancakes are really tasty (made from coconut and cinnamon?) and there is a great variety of fruits. Also the price is really good for the quality. We can recommend

Tasty food, friendly staff - great selection on the menu. Food takes a while - but completely worth it. Also the chef is open to making especially for you to meet your dietary needs.

Starting with the good points. The place is nice and clean. The food I ordered (rice with beef stew and curry) was very tasty. The food was not super hot but acceptable. As a drink I had a very delicious juice. They also had an english menu.

Unfortunately this is where the good things end. We were 7 people and they seemed heavily overwhelmed with such a big group of tourists. We waited over an hour to get our drinks and another 2 hours to get the food. As much as I understand things work differently here, this is just not acceptable. Given the long time waiting half of the food we ordered was rather cold and one meal wasn't eatable at all. I have to mention that they'd compensate with a milkshake for that one meal and we didn't had to pay for it.

Please also be aware that you can only pay with Tanzania Schillings and the "pay by phone" option (which beeing a tourist from Europe I do not know how it works). Payment by credit card or Dollars/ Euro isn't accepted. However if you need local currency there's an ATM just around the corner at the "cinema" place.

So to sum this up, my meal was good but be prepared for a long time waiting especially if in a...

I never left any review anywhere, this is my first review, I was so disappointed that I couldn’t help my self but leaving a review. We waited 85 minutes for our food which was insane. They told us it usually takes 20 mins, but today it’s gonna take 30-40 because there was a family of six who came just before us. The family of six got their food after over an hour, they ended up packing their food, and we got it after 85 minutes. They kept on telling us it’s ready, but it wasn’t, they were not being...
