This was my second stay at the Hotel having done the same in 2021 with back then being a business trip. I came back as I liked it's homly nature as well as the rooms which we still love. We put up there en route for the Serengeti and the first day went well. 4 days later after our Safari we re-booked the place. This was a Friday night and we were tired from the day long trip from the Park. The hotel parking was full with folks enjoying drinks and music. We are fair people hence let the loud music boom while in our rooms and try to catch some sleep. At 1am we could take it no more, I sent a WhatsApp message to number used for boking et al. I requested that they reduce music to a low level in being mindful of those in their beds. I got only "blue ticks" (no response). This was unusual as they are usually very responsive.I also sent an SMS which also ignored. I went over to the bar and the Manage/Owner was entertaining his friends. I spoke to the staff on duty who whispered to him as he looked casually at me; I gestured politely that the music needs to be reduced. He didn't say anything, or even gesture. Long and short - The music's volume was reduced slightly but when songs they loved came up, the volume went back again. That is how we spent a difficult night. I have never felt abused as a guest like at...
Read moreWe got the new rooms at the top, next to the swimming pool. The family room 24. We were a bit worried about the beer-garden and bar that is on the same property, but due to the location furthest away from the bar we had no issues with the noise and UEFA football matches that were shown on the screens. The rooms were modern with ceiling fan, AC, nice bathroom and comfy beds. The pool is great for kids as its not too deep. The breakfast was great, really good coffee, great mix of buffet and à la carte breakfast. Great views, great location on Themi Hill, abd close to Njiro where you can find everything you need, and avoid traffic downtown. The staff were super child friendly and very accommodating. We even extended our stay!
The locking system at the new rooms needs improvement, as its not really trustable (just a padlock with latches screwed into the sliding doors). We didn't feel unsafe (there is 24/7 watchmen, cctv, and an enclosed compound), but this seems to be a makeshift solution. Also note there are no mozzie nets. The hotel provides mosquito spray, but the fumes are not great to breathe in. We often forgot to spray the room well before going to bed, so we definitely experienced...
Read moreAvoid this place at any cost! We stayed in the Boulevard Inn for more than two weeks with my girlfriend. Yesterday, I left the hotel but my girlfriend was still staying there. In the night the manager of this place, whose name is Emin Korcelik, knocked on my girlfriend's door and tried to come into her room, grabbing her hand and pushing her into the room! Although she closed and locked the door immediately, he kept on knocking on her door and forcing his way to come in for more than half an hour. One can only imagine the terror she had gone through. ||||The business of a hotel is to provide safe and comfortable accommodation to its customers. What kind of hospitality service are you providing by harassing them and trying to go into their rooms in the middle of the night?! The worst thing is that Emin Korcelik is the manager/owner of this hotel, not an ordinary staff....
