A place where you really feel like a second home! It was a wonderful place to stay, where you felt very much a home and free both to have your own space with a big room, toilet, a little kitchen and even a little living room. Then there was also the opportunity to meet a local family, and get close friends from Arusha, which can be a huge experience. I really found myself having a hard time leaving the place, and saying goodbye to the host Daniel, a both very funny and helpful man, who helped with both different practical things, like finding the right tailor for my new pillow sheets, buying the cheapest eggs at the market, to a great company and friend with whom we cooked dinner with, listened to local music, danced, walked around and explored the area and shared cultural beliefs and experiences.. I can guarantee that you would have a really lovely time at his guesthouse! ☀️ My sister and I had booked for around a week but ended there for two, it was just a...
Read moreI can only give the hostel 3 stars because I've not stayed in it so I am not aware of the facilities. But I hope the review is convincing enough to choose these lodgings. I've stayed in Daniel's home as a couchsurfer. At that time the hostel was not yet put together so I cannot share an opinion on that. What I can talk about is the beautiful setting the hostel is located in and the welcoming nature of Daniel and his family. As far as I remember, the hostel is situated next to their family's home so you will be able to get a glance of what a Tanzanian family is like. The surroundings are beautiful with a lot of vegetation and quite peaceful. It is located quite far from Arusha, but Daniel can help with transportation. Daniel is also a local guide and he can take you to different interesting places and take you on a tour of Arusha. He was also kind enough to find a reasonably-priced...
Read moreI stayed only few nights at this hostel, but it was a really nice surprise. I had an incredible time there. The manager was incredible at communication before and during my trip. He happily welcomed me in spite of the fact that I arrived very late at night - he arranged travel to and from the airport for me and also even a safari on which I get after few days. Very clean and cosy rooms with tasteful bed sheets. The living room offers enough space to easily become your home office if you work remotely. The accommodation is lovely and every morning when I woke up I felt like I was a part of the family. The staff is kind and friendly. In the morning the people here made their best to offer me the most tasteful and healthiest breakfast one could wish for. Couldn't have had a better stay. Until next time. Thank you for the great service and your...
