Serengeti Kuhama Camp — Hotel in Arusha

This is an amazing place. It was our favourite place that we stayed on our safari. Gaudence and the team here are so friendly and make sure you are comfortable and well looked after. The food was great - still not sure how they did the food so well in the Serengeti! Highlights for us were: seeing and hearing the wildlife so close by; sitting by the fire in the evenings; the great wine; the stars at night; the hot water bottles left in our beds; the excellent lunch boxes. We stayed for two nights at Serengeti kuhama camp. In the morning there was a breakfast buffet, for lunch we got a richly filled lunch basket and as dinner we had buffet style The staff was very friendly and helpful. As the camp is located in the national park there is always a Maasai ready to walk you to and from your tent after dark. Rooms were comfortable. A pesar de ser el alojamiento más simple de todo nuestro safari, fue el mejor con mucha diferencia!!! En pleno Serengueti, dormir con los animales alrededor de las tiendas es una pasada, una auténtico subidón de adrenalina!!! Mbaga y su equipo nos trataron como miembros de su familia (sin exagerar). De hecho, nos puso motes cariñosos a mí cuñada, a mi mujer y a mí (a ella "sister", a mi mujer "sister in law" y a mí "little bro"). De verdad, un tipo genial!!! La comida estaba buenísima y el trato recibido es imposible mejorarlo. Además, no tiene precio el estar en el fuego antes o después de cenar, y ver los animales cerca mientras descansas del día de safari. Y para rematar, fuimos a una excursión en globo, que nos vinieron a buscar a las 4:15 h, y en el Tended camp nos tenían el picnic preparado, a pesar de estar fuera de horas para ello. Por cierto, el manto de estrellas que había a esa hora en el cielo oscuro de la noche es lo más bonito del viaje (indescriptible). Por muchas estrellas que diga que pudiese haber, me quedaría corto.

Esperamos volver a Tanzania y en vez de hacer dos noches en el Tended camp, haremos cinco, que fue el lugar que más nos gustó y donde mejor nos trataron (y eso que durante todo el safari recibimos un trato buenísimo).
