Kitamu House — Restaurant in Arusha

I recently visited and was impressed by the beautiful space and lovely decor—the ambience truly sets a great tone. The Wi-Fi is among the fastest in Arusha, which is a definite plus. However, I found the service to be quite lacking. The waitstaff seemed more focused on chatting and joking with one another than attending to customers, making it necessary to call them over for even the simplest requests, despite the restaurant being only lightly populated.

Now, regarding the food: I tried the Cajun salad, which was flavorful but felt a bit small for the price. The chicken was on the dry side and served lukewarm, and I would have preferred if the cucumber was shredded rather than in large chunks. As for dessert, the cheesecake arrived cold with a bit of fridge odor, and it didn’t leave a lasting impression. My chocolate banana smoothie also missed the mark; it was a bit runny and lacked the rich banana flavor I was hoping for.
