Worst hotel experience in Tanzania. I booked last minute with cancelation available. When I got there, I was shocked because it was a terrible area and a terrible hotel. The room view was a slum apartment window with trash and rotting clothes, and a super loud generator. ||||I went back to reception to cancel. I felt like throwing up, really. ||||They asked to show me another room but I decided to just leave because it was disgusting and reception was saying hateful things to me constantly. ||||I canceled through my booking site, but the hotel demanded me to pay anyway, and held my laptop, camera and bags hostage until I paid. ||||I asked to talk to the manager but he was crazy too. He said I took a shower and changed my clothing and ate there too. Complete lies, I had not touched anything and had the same clothing on. Their own security was with me and agreed I was telling the truth ||||I did not know how to call the police. Or I would have because they stole my belongings. ||||The manager is a voyeur too, go see his office cameras! No safety for women! ||||I had to still pay by force to get my luggage back. Do not go to this hotel. I left terrified. I travel around the world. I don't scare easy but this was...
Read moreWe are from United Kingdom. My wife and I stayed at Euro Hotels for 1 night while on our way to Zanzibar. The place was amazing. We stayed in a deluxe room very spacious, clean bathroom, super clean with hot showers. We had a few Sterling pounds and Kenya shillings to pay for the room lest did we know the hotel does not accept these currencies they only accept US dollars or Tanzania shillings. We checked in very late. 11 pm and all the exchange bureaus were closed but the General manager Ramesh was kind enough to trust us to stay the night and pay in the morning. He also helped us to exchange the money because the banks nearby would not accept kenya shillings. On our way back to Dar es salaam from Zanzibar we chose to stay at the same place and guess what, again Ramesh was kind enough to let us check in earlier than scheduled because our flight arrived around 6am. The food was excellent. The view at the top of the building was breath taking. I can't fault the place in anyway and we are looking forward to staying there again. Your staff are very friendly and Ramesh you are a gem THANK YOU. I highly...
Read moreThis is one good hotel that checks all the boxes to justify its rating but offers a lot more than that. I stayed in a deluxe room which was large enough for a comfortable stay of two persons. The Double bed room was well furnished with a two seater sofa on one side and a large table with a big mirror on the other. A big wardrobe also adorned this room. The bathroom was big with a separate shower area. Running both hot and cold, the water pressure was very good. An electric kettle, a fridge, and slippers were provided as well. There was a world of TV channels accessible. Everything so well arranged. The restaurant offered variety and the food was good too.
I particularly liked the security feature of the hotel. Everytime you use the elevator to go to your room someone from the reception will tap the card to access your floor level. No unauthorized person can use the elevator.
The ambience was appealing. The staff were nice. The manager was easily accessible and readily helpful. At a budget price this hotel is a steal.
