This place is AWESOME! If you have a family with little ones, the two bedroom villa with a bathtub (not the pool) is PERFECT for you!!!! The villa has a huge elevated front yard with sunbeds, a sunbed-swing, a hammock swing, an outdoor dining area, an outdoor shower (not private), and a tap to wash sand off your feet. It is enclosed with high stone walls from both sides, and the front is enclosed with plants and landscaping that does not obscure the view. The view is breath-taking and the wind coming from the sea was just enchanting. It has direct access to the beach through steps that lead downwards to a door that can only be accessed from the villa's front yard. At night the yard is well-lit by lights on the wall-fence, as well as lights on the terrace walls. The kids loved this area. They played in the sand all day, went for walks on the beach to gather shells and came back to decorate their sandcastles. They played in the bathtub. They ate on the dining table and took naps on the swings. The adults had breakfast outdoors, stepped out on the beach for a swim, and played board-games when it got too late. Sitting in the front yard, one had almost full privacy (for covered Muslim ladies, this is always a plus). Inside, there are two spacious rooms each with a full bathroom, (one even has a TV! In Zanzibar!). The rooms are air-conditioned with ceiling fans. Each room had a king bed and a single bed, each with a mosquito net. The best part, is that the bedrooms have ceiling to floor glass panels that allow you full view of the ocean, and can be opened so you can survey your little ones playing outside in the front yard. When we arrived, the bathrooms did not have a bidet-hose connected, but that was immediately fixed within the hour. The host was extremely hospitable, and even gave us a discount on some services as an apology. Best customer service experience I have EVER had at a...
Read moreBased on a reference of our friends, who stayed here a few years back (with the previous owners) we booked 5 nights IN THE PRIVATE BEACH HOUSE WITHOUT POOL! On arrival the beach villa was not as presented booking.com and tripadvisor. See pictures.plants are overgrown, no see view, very thing was dirty and broken (sinks and toilets) missing muskito nets. Outside bath very dirty. Beach full of plastic. it has a 9.3 on booking, the next door hotel (which is lovely, clean and nice has a 9.4). We booked 5 nights, but stayed 1 night. the smell in the house was so back, we all woke up with very bad headaches due to the smell of fungus. The coffee, tea and sugar were full of ants. We notified our travel agent and share the films, they emediatley booked another lovely place for us. We ask for refund, as we didn's stay the other 4 nights. But contact preson Nina was unfriendely, (shared she didnt live on Zanzibar) and told us and our travel agent that based on all great reviews, they won't refund anything. BE WORNED, ALL PICTURES ONLINE ARE FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER! DON'T BOOK THIS, IT WILL BE SUPER DISSAPOINTING. THE POOL OF THE OTHER HOUSE LOOKED DIRTY AND...
Read moreDisappointed. That would be the feeling in general. Place is beautiful sorounded by a beautiful beach area. First day they recommended us to go with a boat an a guide for snorkel ( not needed, they are just looking for commission ) they bring you with 100 more boats + 300 tourist for such a horrible snorkel experience. Guide is chilling with his friends while you swim with hundreds of tourist that constantly destroy all the coral in the area. Later they bring you to look for starfish, where they place them out of the water ( most of the species die within three minutes outside water ) so they can show off how amazing guides they are. Breakfast is pretty good. Lunch and dinner way too expensive, you have restaurants next to the hotel that are much better in quality and price. Even booking or themselves say you can pay by card, once you leave you cannot. Be careful with this! The money exchange from the hotel is ridiculous. Room was great. There is one receptionist that is amazing, name started with R. Apart of that I do not suggest this hotel at all. Hope someday you appreciate the area you live in so you stop doing such a horrible half brain...
