My partner and I had such a great stay here! The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, we felt comfortable right away. The view is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful pool, ocean views, and a quiet beach just steps away. Our room was cleaned daily, and they even came by again in the late afternoon to freshen it up a really thoughtful touch. The on-site restaurant was affordable and convenient, and breakfast each morning included fresh juice, fruit, and coffee. The location is super peaceful and quiet, but still within walking distance to The Rock restaurant. They also helped us with airport pick-up and drop-off and were happy to organize activities, which made everything really easy and stress-free. Just something to keep in mind: none of the rooms have bathroom doors, and the Wi-Fi in the rooms is a bit weak (though it works well outside). We were there to relax and disconnect, so it didn’t bother us. Overall, it was the perfect place for us to unwind and enjoy some quiet time together. Highly recommend for couples looking for a relaxing getaway!

This is a kids-friendly hotel with everything you need at great prices. To start, it is a stunning place right in the beach front line. Location is top next to other restaurants and The Rock. The amenities are the essential for a beach holiday and they have rubber shoes to borrow, sunscreen, beach/pool towels, toys for kids, games. The staff is very kind and attentive (thank you Anna for taking such good care and play with our son while we enjoyed the breakfast). The place is clean and well maintained. The food is great and the cocktails keep on coming! Once again, at great prices. You can have every meal at the hotel, on the pier, at the restaurant, by the pool... they have a set menu and daily specials. We loved to spend our holidays there and we'll always remember it as a special place!

Edit: To add insult to injury I was contacted by ANNA who attempted to imply I was delusional. See screen shot of email below. In every poor review ever written about experiences here they try to accuse the patron of lying instead of reflecting on what actually happened. Which speaks volumes of their character. Anna if you were there you would’ve known the owner said the only four men that were supposed to be in the yard that night were security guards and they wear a “ Mnana Bungalow T-shirt”. Am I making that up too? Because they weren’t the security guards they were sent away. Again may this be a learning experience for you! If I was robbed or harmed you would’ve probably still called me a liar. You can’t dictate to any person what happened to them especially when you were not there!||||||I’ve never in my three years of solo traveling have I ever felt so uncomfortable in my life I literally had to check out the night before the morning I was going to leave and pay for another hotel because the manager there made me very uncomfortable. ||||Let’s start by saying this is not the owner’s fault the amenities are beautiful but he needs to find a new manager. This is my personal experience so I’m going to tell it: The staff goes in your room even after house keeping when they think you’re away and touches your things. ||||There was a night where four gentleman were on the premise doing “yard work” at 9:00 pm at night ( I caught them scouting out my Bungalow and were startled by me when they tried to approach my Bungalow). Once I called the owner they all left. ||||Lastly I spoke with the “manager” (Mohammed)two days prior about a tour we did not schedule I stated we would finalize the day of. I decided to go on another tour because I was not comfortable going anywhere with him or anyone else that worked for him from the previous experiences. ||||He then proceeded to harass me trying to intimidate me for money. I went on my other tour came back and paid $40 to the receptionist Shakera with my owed food bill for this “tour” I never even scheduled. When the “Manager” came back he had a fit because the money was going to the owner and not his pockets. So I called the taxi company and booked another hotel somewhere else that night.||||Solo female traveler from one to another as long as that gentleman is still working there DO NOT STAY HERE. The Bungalows are very beautiful and the food was amazing but my entire stay was very uncomfortable I tried to leave after day one but the owner spoke with me and after the harassment I...

The view is just breathtaking. I was in one of the beach-facing bungalows with the waves lapping no more than 20 metres from the end of the bed. To see the sunrise and the moonrise from your bed, as well as to see the traditional Dhow fisherman sail by every now and then was just magical. Sublime, even. Muhammed was always readily available to help organize and advise on tours and activities and to help with navigating the local area - ordering taxis, helping you to locate the nearest pharmacy or the nearest barber and so on. The owner Anna was extremely polite and made me feel very welcome indeed. The pool was always super clean and there are many lounge chairs, swinging beds and hammocks to lie on and enjoy the stunning view and the sun. Bliss. In general the accommodation was excellent value for money and very much in line with the standards in Zanzibar. I stayed at Mnana for 8 nights and while the food was excellent (especially the seafood) it did get a bit repetitive by the very end. There were frequent power cuts (beyond the control of Mnana) which meant that there were some times during my stay where the air conditioning, WiFi and hot water did not work. This wasn't so much of an issue though as I was not there to surf the internet but to enjoy the view. I would...

Yohhhh. Unexpected peace. The place is not quaint. It is just plain paradise. The rooms are awesome. The beds are firm and the bedding white as newly fallen snow. Anna The host treated us like her family, she knows the island and understands being a visitor on this island. The excursions with the guides are seamless and perfected. The juice is freshly made with each 2 glasses from fresh mangoes or granadilla or whatever is in season. The fooooooood, the rice, ohhhhh the fresh prawns and lobster and the fish Masala... I loved eating here. 5 days not seen anyone smoking, not added salt to my food, not felt the need to want to see tv, no fast foods in site.... pure paradise.

The water kisses your feet when you open your bungalow. The infinity pool is crystal clear. From here to Page you can walk for 20 minutes or bike there or daladala there or special hire there to buy things.

You can sleep all day you can be in the warm ocean water all day(feels like a heated spa) you can be happy all day floating on a wooden dhow. You can find the most incredible instagram moments before even leaving Mnana bungalows.

Free reliable wifi...Yohhhhh I am happy I tell you. Try the tea, there is a selection of 20 teas and coffee. Try the caramel flavored...
