This stay at Racha Residence is really quite simple and humble. It's clear this isn't a 5-star hotel, but more of a place where you can comfortably stay for a longer period with your basic needs met. I also really appreciate that it's located in an area where locals reside, with street vendors, and on a quieter stretch. Room 🛌 We stayed in the 1 X Superior Studio (City view | 30 m²/323 ft²), and it was surprisingly spacious for two people. I liked that the beds were quite firm 👍. The room included a wooden dining table with four chairs, a coffee table, a small two-seater couch, a dressing table, and a TV.
The pantry area was rather well-equipped with a large fridge, a microwave, a big sink, and a stove. We also found a kitchen pot, pan, and cutlery available.
❌ The downsides were the lack of soap and a sponge for washing dishes, and the cutlery appeared quite used. Our air con is quite old and started to leak on our last day.
The toilet was rather old, showing some water stains on the bath curtains and tub. The toilet floor also flooded very easily, even with the shower curtains in place. Only shampoo and body wash were provided, which I ended up using as hand soap. A hair dryer was available beside the mirror.
Regarding amenities, it's worth noting that there were no beverage sachets, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand soap, or room slippers provided. So, do bring these items if you plan to stay here. I particularly liked that the balcony had a makeshift rope drying rack, which was very useful for drying our clothes! 🌞
Overall, I think this is a decent place for a long stay, offering a wide space and meeting very basic needs at an affordable price. The hotel staff were also very smiley and courteous. The hotel also has a gym on the ground level near...
Read moreThis property offers a mix of monthly and short-term units for rent. We stayed one night in a serviced studio, which includes a small kitchen, sofa, dining table, and balcony. The room was well laid out, making excellent use of the small space to create a homely feel.
However, the room could benefit from a deep cleaning, and the kitchenette could use a fresh coat of paint at some areas. On the plus side, the bed was quite comfortable, and the AC was quiet and efficient.
There is ample parking available, though most spots are on an unpaved field next to the hotel, with only a few covered spots reserved for long-term residents. The hotel has an elevator, and the staff at reception were super friendly.
There are a few restaurants nearby and a convenience store across the road. It's about a 10-minute walk to Robinsons and Pacific Park Mall, with a big night market next to the mall as well.
We were debating whether to rate our stay 5 or 4 stars but settled on the lower rating due to the noise from the busy street in front of our window and the need for a good cleaning.
BTW, monthly rentals start at 9000B per month, plus electricity at 8B per unit (which...
Read moreStaff is nice till you want to move out. Don’t go to this place monthly renting, especially through agency. With agency they will ask you to sign the contract for one year but the monthly price won’t change as I found out it later. Without contract you won’t lose your deposit and you will still have to pay the same monthly rent price. As I lost my deposit and they even blocked me as nobody even opening messages anymore. Beside that I informed that I will need to move out earlier, and it was okay in the beginning. Usually if you signing the contract for one year, the room’s price is going lower. So I lost my deposit and I paid the same price as people without contract. You will pay for electricity and water half monthly room renting payment. I didn’t really use electrify but the payment was very high. As they print their own bill. And of course they will show you printed by themselves units you spent. You can’t prove anything there. You will hear chair moving sound which will wakes you up at night and early morning. Be careful with housekeeping. In the beginning they’ve messed up my room several times. Only at the almost end I...
