We stayed at this resort for 3 nights. We were 3 of us including our 13 year old daughter. We loved our stay at this resort as you hear birds in the morning and this is a tranquil oasis. It doesn’t seem that this resort is in Pattaya and it’s very peaceful. ||We booked the garden view room which is above the ground floor units with a spiral staircase. It was room 402 I think or 204 😊. This room is slightly small for 3 and we didn’t realise how small it was till we checked in. There was no room to walk around after the extra bed was placed. The room has all Feb amenities that you need. The extra bed provided was old and rickety and the mattress was not the most comfortable. The resort was almost vacant during our visit and the staff could have offered an upgrade for free or for a nominal charge but they didn’t. We didn’t ask either as we didn’t know till the next day we saw the number of guests at breakfast. This room has an indoor shower and we liked that as most other rooms have an outdoor shower and they do have small lizards all around and I am quite scared of reptiles 😊. I checked on reptiles before booking this resort and they mentioned that they don’t have a problem but a tropical oasis will have some life around I guess. The check in was smooth and Jeet, the manager helped us with the check in and he is helpful and friendly. The staff at this resort is excellent and we loved all of them. They go above and beyond to make your stay memorable and we appreciate that a lot about them. ||Breakfasts are wonderful here. The service is excellent. Do order their Thai tea. It’s delicious. The breakfast spread is not as extensive as many other hotels in Thailand but it’s adequate and we liked it. We always chose the tables with the ocean view but they have construction going on there and it was a bit of a spoiler for the view. ||We booked a spa for all 3 of us and our daughter went for the Thai massage and she loved it. We booked the oil massage and it was wonderful. The masseuse are experts and the massages were the highlight of our stay at this resort. We really enjoyed being in the swimming pool too and the water was warm and nice even during late evenings like 7pm. The pool is very clean and has a beautiful view of the ocean. The sunsets at this resort are special. The beach area is very clean and private which is another highlight of this resort. We went in September which was the monsoon season and it was bright each day of our stay. It rained at night or evenings briefly but the days were nice and bright with the ocean shining always. ||On one of the evenings we had a visitor on our window and it was a non venomous green snake and the windows were sealed so we only saw it on the window but it vanished when it saw us. I didn’t have trouble sleeping that night but my hubby was worried 😊 I think these snakes are on trees. We never saw a snake on our way to the beautiful restaurant or to the pool so I wouldn’t raise a scare about this. ||Our stay was a memorable one and we never stepped out of this resort for 3 days to anywhere as it was so nice and peaceful being at this resort. We ordered delicious Thai food through Grab and the hotel sends a buggy to the room for you to pick up your food so it’s convenient too. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay with excellent service. We would like to come back when we can. ||They organized thief staff motivational activities during off peak hours during our stay as it was off season but the service remained excellent. It was nice to see that they had programs to keep their staff motivated. That’s why the service is so nice! We were informed of these programs when we checked in but not before we arrived. The spa was available for only a day during our 3 day stay due to renovations. I’m assuming this would not be the case during peak season but you could check in advance of their renovation plans before booking. ||The pool table area with the ping pong table has no air conditioning and is not maintained well. They could renovate this part and add the air conditioning as it’s impossible to use it with no fans and air conditioning and it’s in the basement so no fresh air either. The gym is not great either. The hotel overall is old but has a warm and inviting ambience. The rooms could do with some...
Read moreWe chose this resort as a 13 night stopover flying home from Switzerland to Australia, to break up the 20 hour flight for our 13 month old son. And so glad we did. Just 90 mins from the airport, we were collected from the airport in a private airconditioned van and driven to the resort. We arrived early morning, and as the checkin is not until 3pm we were worried about the heat and our baby. But the fantastic Jeet at the front counter worked his magic and we luckily got into the nice airconditioned room by 10.30. Let me start by saying the rooms are a great size for a family of 3. Complete with minibar, plenty of suitcase space, comfortable bed, and very importantly a great airconditioner. The resort itself is quite large and very well gardened, but they have golf carts at the reception - you can just call reception and they will come and pick you up. But my advice is to ask for a room closest to the restaurant - that way you are close to the sea, pool, and restaurant- and its very quick to walk to any of them. The food in the restaurant is amazing. For breakfast you have all the cereals, plus an egg station where someone cooks eggs to your liking. Plus about 15 hot dishes, whether it be bacon, sausages, baked beans, or the local food of curries, noodles, fish, pork - you name it - they have it all. And then there's the fresh fruit, fruit juices, hot coffee of every sort, and a bakery area with croissants and pastries. What more do you need? Dinner was a great range also - loved the fisherman's basket! But the best thing about the stay here is the people. If you've ever been to Fiji, I rate it as friendly as that. Starting by Jeet at the reception, the restaurant staff are exceptional. In the mornings, the wonderful Priya, Benz and Ton would already have our table waiting for us, complete with baby chair. Quite often we would wonder what our son was smiling at - we would turn around and 3 of the staff would be smiling at him and waving. As soon as we were finished with a plate or coffee, someone would grab it and remove it. We felt like royalty. Ton would lay out towels for us on the sunloungers and set 2 seats aside for us which were in the shade for the baby - every single morning! Just amazing. Of an evening, Oum Oim, Nok and Mickey would also have a table reserved for us, in front of a fan, which was important as there is no aircon in the restaurant (but they have heaps of fans which are enough). They would also entertain our son with smiles while we ate. The whole resort and staff just felt like a family. The staff will do anything for you - you just have to ask. Other staff which deserve a mention - the chef (didn't get his name), Sowanee and Lit were also very friendly and helpful. I hope I've mentioned everyone as you all did a fantastic job and made us feel so very welcome. We will definitely be flying Thai airways again, and doing a stopover at this resort. I highly recommend stay here and can't wait to be back. Tip** There is no atm at the resort. I suggest you get money at the airport if you want to leave tips for individuals or room cleaning. Or you can take a taxi to the 7-11 and there's an atm there. Ride costs 150...
Read moreWe stayed at the pool villa for 2 nights while attending a wedding at the hotel. The wedding by the beach and the flowers arrangement was beautiful 5 stars (it was a shame it rained during the reception).
The pool (4.5m long x 2.5m wide approximate) is very small compared to other pool villa we stayed at (Sri Panwa Phuket, Koh Chang) The decking and outdoor furniture is ageing and needs renovation. The room we stayed at (612) only have one outdoor shower (that is it OMG) an indoor shower is very much needed. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable to sleep in.
The staff here are inexperience and extremely slow, if you want to call for them (pick you up in a golf buggy), prepared to wait, we called them twice and ended up dragging our bags to the car parks ourselves. We eventually saw the golf buggy that was supposed to pick us up but that was was too long (20 mins since the first request was made). The golf buggy drivers are friendly and well mannered.
When we left our hotel at noon, we’ve told the front desk to clean our room and that we’ll be back later in the evening so “please make sure you have the room ready when we get back. We also left the back door unlocked please lock it on your way out”.
When we got back there was a note that said “we didn’t clean your room because they was a do not disturb sign outside your room”. We we walked into a room smell of used nappy and the back door was unlocked. I rang reception and ask what happened? Why didn’t you clean our room? And where is the do not disturb switch? Is it the little blue light with a pad lock near the entry door? Or is it the funny rope that they put around the front gate? The night reception say “no sir, there is a sign in front of your gate”. He was very apologetic and ask is there anything that he can do. I told him my children are already asleep, don’t worry about it, just bring us some fresh towels. After I hanged up, I went outside with a flash light and found a tiny oxidised label engraved do not disturb, you basically slide the plate backwards and forward to enable or disable do not disturb sign (how are we supposed to find it?). We didn’t noticed when we checked in as none of the staff failed tell us anything about our room or the hotel facility. It was pretty much here are your key cards and that is it. In any case, someone from front desk or house keeping should have call our mobile especially when we verbally ask for our room to be cleaned.
Why was the room set to “do not disturb” as default remains a mystery. We generally do not like leaving a low score or a negative feedback. However, we do hope that someone in the hotel management would see this review and rectify your staff training / checkin process. Because, at the end of the day, it is a nice little hotel in a beautiful location, just let down by the overall customer service experience.
Update 23/11/2021 The hotel manager came and apologise the next morning and follow up with an email. +2 stars for acknowledging their failure and promise to improve. We will comeback and...
