Very disappointed due to the rudeness of the staff and food not matching description (had chillies when it said not spicy on the menu) and a very long wait for the food (50 min). Food took very long to arrive, when staff was asked when it would come they were very rude. Once it came it didn't match the description, when staff was informed the male waiter got visibly angry and started talking to us in a very aggressive manner, no apology was offered he just started shouting. Just this behaviour in itself is a massive red flag as no customer should be treated that way. Other tables also noticed the aggressive behaviour and were looking at the waiter. Sadly, the manager was not interested to come and see what the matter was.

Overall: disappointing The food (that matched the description) was not bad, other item was too spicy to eat (when it says not spicy it should be not spicy, especially after checking with the waiter as well) Service was terrible, aggressive and unacceptable.

UPDATE: After the response I have to edit to let people know the true situation. All the below doesn't seem to match our situation at all. Manager never turned up even though we asked for him/her to come, so there was no explanation Male waiter spoke enough English to shout at us. Lack of English doesn't mean his body language doesn't show he is aggressive and angry. In addition, some people at our table spoke Thai and he also responded in Thai, so language has nothing to do with his attitude I was sat in the corner of the table surrounded by plants and had no access to where waiters were coming, so to say that I've grabbed someone by the wrist is a lie. If you are not sure what customer did what then don't respond with false claims and lies.

If you can't accept that someone had this terrible experience then don't respond at all.

Avoid this place like the plague. The worst service I've experienced in my life. Food took an hour to come out, wasn't as described and then the staff had the nerve to claim we were being difficult. They took zero responsibility and offered no apology. They are lucky they are located by the beach or else this place wouldn't last another week. There are much better places in the area where your presence is appreciated.

UPDATE: following the response from the restaurant, I 100% stand by what I originally said. There are no "false claims". If anything, I left out further details such as being shouted at by a disgruntled waiter who said we were "being difficult from the start" when all we did was order from the menu and wait over an hour for our food. That waiter then shouted at us multiple times "what do you want" when we were asking basic questions such as why it is taking so long for the food to arrive, bearing in mind we had an infant with us and didn't plan on wasting hours in a restaurant where we would be treated so poorly.

I have zero intention in returning to this restaurant and will definitely go elsewhere. But before I do so, I need to inform others of my experience as nobody deserves to be treated the way we were treated. Avoid!

FURTHER UPDATE: it is unreal how far this restaurant will go to try to cover up this despicable behaviour. It doesn't surprise me at all considering how they behaved on my visit, but this really is beyond belief. They have no gone on to falsely state that their manager spoke to us, when in reality the manager never appeared despite us asking twice. They have also made ludicrous claims in the review replies that we grabbed their staff by the wrist. Unbelievable! Zero integrity...how anyone can trust them with cooking their food is now truly...

I stayed in Bang Saray for three days and decided to drop by for a late lunch.

It’s a great spot to sit back and take in the water views.

There were empty tables already reserved along the front of the restaurant, so I ended up sitting with another guest at their table.

I ordered the green chicken curry and rice with a Chang beer. The waiter asked re spice level, I said medium but it was very mild. (I don’t mind chilli - just not when it blows my head off haha)

The portion size was generous with ample amounts of chicken.

I dropped by the following afternoon and had a cold drink and made a table reservation for that evening.

When I arrived back I found the table with my name on it, sat down and within a couple of minutes one of the staff attended with the menu.

They also provide a separate BBQ order form which you tick off the items you want.

I ordered the bbq chicken souvlaki which is served with a salad, two sauces and a roast potato if requested.

The meal was delivered in 10 minutes and again the portion size was generous. The chicken was succulent and juicy with peppers and onion on the skewer.

The staff were all very friendly and were able to answer my questions in English.

The ambiance is very relaxed and chilled, definitely worth a visit or two if you’re in town.

It does get quite busy, so I would recommend dropping by before or after peak hours.
