The Par Phuket — Hotel in Kathu

Do not trust the photos the hotel has given, we booked in for 6 nights, stayed 1 night had breakfast and checked out straight away losing our money. The rooms are clearly not cleaned thoroughly - see photos, you could barely see through the glass panels and there were stain marks everywhere where it’s not cleaned properly. There is rust and grime all throughout the bathroom, I didn’t feel clean showering in the room. The hotel makes it out it’s part of the golf club resort, it really isn’t, see photos of the front of the hotel, it’s in an unkept section in some area where the golf course happens to be, see photos. The food was absolutely awful, we are pescatarians but we are very open minded with different foods of different cultures and never normally have issues with breakfast buffets, there were literally about 5 -10 dishes to chose from (including toast) and that’s it, and nothing was labelled so we didn’t know what we could/could not eat. The food area was very dirty also, I wish I took photos of the food but we were so eager to get out and find another hotel. The hotel is in the middle of no where, no taxi drivers knew where it was so it was a hassle to get to. Booking.com said there is free shuttle service yet the hotel wanted to charge me thb500 each way to Patong Beach. We booked and airport shuttle but no one turned up, we waited for an hour and I rang the hotel and they said someone is there and hung up. We went to every person standing in the area and no one claimed to be for us, we ended up getting a taxi ourselves which was actually cheaper in the end but as said before no one knew where it was so we got lost a couple of times. A long overdue review but I booked their event space to celebrate my 40th birthday party and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! It was pretty last minute too and I only had about 2 weeks to plan it, but Evalynn, their event manager, went above and beyond to make my event run as smoothly as possible. The entire staff the day of my event was also fantastic - from the catering to clean up. Not to mention EVERY guest couldn't stop raving about the food and how delicious it was! I had plenty of local Thai friends that attended and they loved the food, the space, the service etc. I also booked rooms for a few guests and it was the perfect decision as they were able to fully enjoy the party without having to drive. Receptionist/front desk were always available and on top of everything. I highly recommend the Par Phuket if you're looking for an event space! Thank you so much, Par Phuket. I had such a lovely and memorable birthday...

We stayed here 2 nights whist passing through Phuket and it's not worth the stop

The price is way to high for the standard of the hotel

The whole building including the rooms are old, very much needing refurbished , dirty , lots of hair and the air conditioning didn't work blowing warm air then cool and the noise was so loud

The hotel is very noisy both day and night

The breakfast was really bad, poor selection, cold, not good quality and you eat in a big conference room.

I sent photos to air B&B and received 30% refund which still makes the hotel well over priced
