I spent 6 days on this resort, the resort is quiet, miles away from the chaos. ||||Our room has everything we need and a big porch for relaxing. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with nice staff, nice pool, fair prices, and spacious rooms. The beach is close walking distance, and is a very nice swimming beach. Read moreDetailed review... For only 2100 baht for 3 nights Veranda Lanta is a good place to stay with laundry/scooter/tourinformation service, a small but refreshing pool and a very friendly owner.
Compared to other resorts in Koh Lanta, Veranda Lanta isn't that expensive, we booked for 700 baht per night.
Dont expect a lot of luxury and a lavish lifestyle. I am not sure but I think they only have 5-6 bungalows. The rooms are pretty basic and have a fridge. The bathroom is a bit cheap but nevertheless did the job. The place is privately owned by a muslim man and his wife and he is very happy with each and every guest. He is there almost every breakfast and usually serves you the food.
Breakfast was very nice and extensive. Per person we usually got a tea, orange juice, couple watermelon slices and 2 toasts with an omelette or jam, but they have more options;
When we arrived the owner's wife was at the reception and she barely speaks a word english so my first impression wasn't that good. Luckily the owner made up for it.
It is located at the center of the left side of the island so you are kind of central.
We also rented a scooter for 48 hours for only 500 baht, the thing went 80 km/h. They are crazy here on Koh Lanta.
Tip for the place: buy or make some ' do not disturb/please clean my room ' doorhangers. More professional than knocking.
