I recently had the pleasure of staying at Naiwok Hills Resort, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations in every way.

Upon arrival, the reception staff welcomed me with warmth and friendliness, immediately setting the tone for a relaxing stay. They were not only accommodating but incredibly helpful, ensuring that I had everything I needed for a comfortable experience. The communication was seamless, and I especially appreciated the information shared with me via WhatsApp upon check-in—covering everything from Wi-Fi details to transfer options, taxi services, and housekeeping instructions. This level of helpfulness was something I truly valued throughout my stay.

The resort’s units are modern and stylish, with every detail thoughtfully considered for guest comfort. The climate control system worked efficiently, and the spacious rooms featured large TVs for entertainment. As a pleasant surprise, a Netflix account was included, which was a great added bonus for unwinding after a day of exploring. The units are well-equipped with modern amenities such as a dishwasher, large fridge, stove, and more, making it feel like a home away from home.

Although the location is a bit off the beaten path, it is very accessible. The resort offers a free shuttle service during daytime hours, which is incredibly convenient. Alternatively, motorbikes are available, or you can easily walk into Thong Sala, which is only about 2km away. This slight seclusion provides a peaceful environment with good views, while still being close enough to the town for convenience.

One small issue I encountered was with the hot water in the shower. It didn’t seem to be heated, which may have been a case of user error on my part, but given the ambient temperature, this wasn’t a major concern. Still, it’s something to note for future guests.

The resort also boasts a beautiful pool area. The surroundings are serene, and the area is just secluded enough to offer a quiet, relaxing retreat. Whether lounging by the pool or enjoying the scenic views, it was the perfect place to unwind.

Naiwok Hills is located in the secluded area near Tongsala Pier. A free shuttle to and from the pier or the town takes about 5 minutes. The road leading to the resort is a dirt road but once you are inside, it really is a peaceful haven for those who likes to relax away from the famous Koh Phangan parties. The rooms are very clean, modern and fairly laid out. Reception is open from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. but the professional manager is available onsite if needed - very vigilant and efficient communication through WhatsApp. |Housekeepers are doing a good job in keeping the rooms clean by taking on twice per week for us long staying guests. Complimentary water is provided daily and what is even better is that we could go to their website guest area to click on what we require such a laundry, taxi service, water, etc. Again the hotel provided taxi service to other areas at a very reasonable rate on an island where public transports are extremely expensive. |Wifi signal was unstable when we arrived but they soon fixed it and was surprisingly uploadin at high speed.|There are no TV channels but Netfliix was available so it was more than what we needed for our 4 years old.|The pool needs a little refurbishment with tiles but it was never crowded. I particularly enjoyed the gym facilities and the yoga lessons offered were an added bonus, allowing me to unwind and stay active during my stay. There is a separate working space if you need to work. There was strong water flow in the shower and hot water as much as needed.

What truly stood out was the helpfulness of the staff. They were always available to assist with any questions or requests, making us feel welcomed and valued as a guest. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt very safe, which is a significant plus for families traveling for an extended period.
