NENA Locanda Italiana — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

The food was genuine authenticly italian. The quality of the food was great! The service unfortunately was disappointing. At first we weren’t allowed to sit at a regular table as we were with two people and those were intended for 4+ (despite all larger tables being empty). After that, they mixed up my order. Although they did fix this, it ment that I wasn’t able to enjoy the meal with my spouse. After I finished dinner, a larger group arrived which seemed to know the owner, resulting in the staff only paying attention to this group, making it rather difficult to ask for the cheque. After paying, apparently it was too much to ask the staff to contact a taxiservice. Instead they adviced us to just wait until eventually (after 30min) a taxi popped up. Quite a bummer, as the food itself...

Sorry but the food wasn't good tasting, and the owner's reply to my review is surprising... I ordered the vegetarian lasagna and it was served cold inside, which means it is pre-made, not fresh, and is being reheated upon order, but even with that it was served cold inside and wasn'tgood tasting even after being reheated, and I don't think that any resteraunt that respects itself should come up with excuses, in fact, for the prices being charged you should really take this review and try to fix whatever was wrong with the dishes. After the dish was reheated it still didn't taste good and also the pesto spaghetti was missing flavor and I couldn't taste the pesto. All together I think that for the prices this place is asking to charge they should try...

We been to many Italian restaurant in koh phangan and never try Nena so my wife and i decide to have an dinner there. We are Italian food lover . We order some pasta and we notice we have an kid of 2 years old eat with us . But when pasta come there is chili powder on top . We just said to the waiters we don’t ask for chili on our pasta and then one of the owner just interrupt us and told us : WHAT IS THE PROBLEM !!! So we just said all right no problem because we see she was very upset by us !!! We thought when you have an restaurant you know how to treat and welcome any customers but not in this place … We definitely no going there again and recommend Remini restaurant…better quality and warm...
