Positives: I liked the size of the bungalows, it was very spacious. It was also relatively clean. The bed was big, which is always a plus for me. There was a safe in the room too in case one would want to store their belongings safely, although it is a tiny safe. There is a minibar and room service in case, great if you are feeling lazy. I liked the peace and quiet of the area. Great for someone who wants to get away from the busy and noisy areas. This is up to the individual, as some people might want to be close to amenities. There is a nice terrace area of each room if you want to relax. The sun was killer so I didn't do much of that. The reception staff were hospitable and willing to help with any issues. They have a great way of communicating with guests via Facebook or Line messaging app. Negatives: The room was clean, but I did find cobwebs next to one of the lamps in my bedroom when I checked-in. To me, this can be avoided with a bit more diligence from the housekeeping. Personally, I like privacy. I didn't like that the bungalows were so open and visible to each other. To some people this wouldn't matter, so I'll leave this up to the individual. They could plant more trees in-between each of the bungalows to improve on this. The breakfast wasn't that great, but the room rate was low and I have high standards so I'll leave that up to each individual. I also ordered room service twice during my stay. For the first time, I wouldn't say the food was good and quite oily, but it was edible. The second time, I was really disappointed. I ordered a pizza (It's one of those mini frozen pizzas), and I received it cold without the cheese even being melted. That really annoyed me as there was no customers at the restaurant in the middle of the day. I sent it back, and it took another 40 minutes to come back, hot but still not really put in the oven long enough. Sometimes mistakes happen, but that was my experience and I'm in the service industry myself so I am slightly more affected than most. They didn't charge me for the dish, which I appreciated the offer. I booked a ferry ticket on my check-out, and I booked transport to the ferry, but I was sent to the wrong ticket office. The right one wasn't too far away, but I had to walk a few minutes and I was cutting my time quite close. Fortunately the ferry was delayed 1.5 hours, unfortunately the ferry was delayed 1.5 hours.. That information would have been nice to have so I could check-out later. The resort staff have a good heart and are friendly, but they need a bit more training or care in their work, depending what the issue is.

This place is a gem! I have been staying here since 2015 few weeks per year ( never took time to write a review ...so its time now ! ) Phangan Akuna is literally a little paradise ! The villas are very spacious , modern, clean . The bed really comfy, you have everything you need in the kitchen. The WIFI works perfectly and water pressure is really good as well. The staff is very helpful and professional. They will always do their best for you to have an amazing time here. It's in the middle of the jungle so sometimes you will find ants or geckos in your villa , that's normal , they are home too :-) Just don't leave food on the table before you go to bed! It's very quiet, you will wake up every morning with the songs of the birds! The surrounding is beautiful. The gym has simple equipment, but everything you need for a nice workout ! The pool is perfect to swim (15 meters long) and always clean !The garden is well groomed .I am travelling solo, and I always feel safe here. Actually I feel like home ;-) Don't hesitate to book a villa here, I promise you won't be disappointed ! Thank you so much for everything Phangan Akuna Family , see you very soon! Laurexxx

We loved akuna. By chance we stayed here at the beginning of our stay and fell in love with the jungle vibe and the amazing atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and extremely helpful, after a week in Koh tao we came back to Koh pangan and of course we came back here. The pool is amazing, there's a cute gym and the rooms are very comfortable. Its a ten minute walk from the road that has all the shops, we walked it a bunch of times and it's not so bad, but you can also rent a motorbike from reception and then it's super easy to get around. There's no restaurant at the hotel but there's one a two minutes walk away at Holmes plate. The hot water is ok, it keeps on cooling down and then warming up, for us it wasn't a problem but if that's something crucial for you, best keep it in mind. Totally worth a visit, I know I'll be back here Thanks for a memorable experience

I had the time to compare quite a few places.||I was looking for a place to relax and go to parties when I wanted to.||I never choose on a whim or by chance and here this establishment is even above what I expected; change of scenery, I am always amazed.||You rent a small maisonette studio well class (clean, air conditioning, cleaned every day and new lingerie) in the middle of the jungle (but you're walking 5 minutes from the road), I recommend you to rent a Scooter is very cheap and it is the best way of transportation here.||Around you; greenery, palm tree, singing of nature ... I fell completely in love.||The staff is of kindness and friendliness incomparable.||The breakfast is more than adequate.||The pool is great and warm in addition!||When you leave the resort, it's full of little Thai caterers who make you holy dishes with local vegetables and raw vegetables. The "shakes" of fresh fruit are to die for, so delicious it is and it does not cost much.||I have absolutely nothing to say negative about this complex.||I will even tell you that I saw more expensive rentals without air conditioning and much less clean.||I'm just going to make fun of some comments: people who complain about ants, lizards, other insects or animals ... you know if you rent a flat in the city, you have cars and pollution lol||If you want to listen to me, this place is magic and I will come back.||I recommend it to all lovers of nature and Thai culture which is a serenity high...
