The atmosphere was calm and quite nice, and the service was decent, with a good level of English. But honestly, the portions and pricing were shocking. I ordered a bowl of ramen for 300 baht, which barely filled me—it came with just one egg, and if you wanted an extra egg, they charge an extra 60 baht (about $2!). That’s crazy—even in Australia, you’d pay less for an extra egg in ramen, and we’re in Thailand!
On top of that, I tried a single sushi ball—not even the size of my thumbnail—and they charged 70 baht for it. It wasn’t even a full roll or anything substantial. The flavor of both the ramen and sushi was super basic, nothing memorable. I ended up spending around 400 baht and still left hungry. If I actually wanted to feel full and satisfied, I would’ve had to spend at least 1,000 baht—easily.
The presentation was nice, but it’s just not worth the price. The portions are ridiculously small, and the cost is comparable to what you’d pay in Europe or Australia, but with half the quantity and mediocre quality. If you’re someone who wants a glamorous-looking meal and doesn’t care about value for money, go for it. But if you’re looking for a wholesome, filling experience, this place won’t deliver. I wouldn’t...
Read moreI’ll start by saying that I am not a person who complains, but what happened was outrageous We were eight people who came for a Friday dinner. Apparently we were the last table to be seated. We waited about 20 minutes until someone came to take our order. We ordered 6 ramens, and a lemon sour cocktail who never showed. Only four ramens came. After an hour of waiting and numerous times of asking where our food is, they brought one ramen and lied that it was pork, although the other waitress told us it was chicken. They wanted to give us the ramen for free but it was on the verge of disgusting and we couldn’t eat it. In additions, we ordered 8 Yakatories that came out after one and a half hour. Eventually the owner came and instead of apologizing he told us that “this is Thailand” and that the whole situation is acceptable. As a person who had worked in the restaurant industry for a while, I don’t support those kind...
Read moreWe ordered food here last month which turned out to be a little drama. The soup was spilled all over the place and portion size was very small, taste however was was great. Last week we gave it another try, this time on premise. Beautiful Japanese style, very clean and calm, friendly staff, portion sizes dramatically increased since our first try and food was same as delicious. So all in all perfect, up until the moment where a mum with a couple of kids entered the place. The former peaceful Japanese zen garden restaurant turned into a kindergarten, the mum seem to be befriended with the owner. We decided to quickly pay and leave the place. Overall a fantastic place to dine, unfortunately - in my humble opinion - it shouldn't be a place for free roaming kids, running and screaming. No problem having them in most of the other restaurant, it just totally didn't fit the restaurants style and peacefulness.
Keep up...
