This hotel is good for Honeymooners , oldies but goodies for peace and quite relaxation. Away from downtown, clean, friendly staff and helpful. Almost everybody can speak English. But nobody say that they have complimentary 1 way to boat going to Sai Kaew one of popular place in this island. As a guest you must read and look to their bulletin board and be able to be observant. As for me the place is not 5star but services is fine. You can't do anything here except eating , swim to pool or in beach. Restaurant is close by 10 p.m. so make sure you buy some junkfoods and cola for you. No store for that nearby. Around this restaurant all are cash only.Every time you go out and ride Songkew back and fourth is 400 baht which is not practical for me cause theirs nothing to see nor do here except if your young and active with the following activities such as 1. discovery before going scuba diving 2. fishing 3. Island hops to 4places 4. kayaking 5.banana boat 6.parasailing and etc. 7/11 are just in city proper. Since we stayed here they have free shuttle boat going to pier to ride a bus back to Bangkok. Just disappointed this Samed place when we arrive from boat offered 200 baht 1 way to Bangkok wherein that is just 151 baht direct to bus. To other travellers they offering taxi 2,000 baht going back to Bangkok. When you arrived here from boat you just walk a little bit outside and you can ride motorcycle for 20baht going to bus station wherein nobody saying the right way because everyone in their like to rip off...

We had room 102 right on the beach which has a great view. The breakfast was good, choice of eggs, toast and fruit. Rooms have tea and coffee and a fridge. The pool area is good if that’s your thing. The pool is about 12 metres long. If you like swimming in the sea be warned. There are sea urchins when the tide is out and as I found if you do long swims also sea lice. I noticed getting little stings as I swam but didn’t think anything of it. I then came out in little red lumps that we thought were mosquito bites and it wasn’t until after a fair few days that we worked out what it was. There are also mosquitoes around at night so you’ll need anti mosquito spray. A few restaurants around the hotel which are okay, a bar that does decent cocktails about a ten minute walk away and a slightly more up market restaurant at the Ban Ploy hotel. Very few guests at the hotel so we more or less had the place to ourselves. You can hire scooters very easily and they’re cheap if you want to...
Read moreI paid about AUD$150 a night which I think was higher than what it should’ve been. It was a last minute booking, so I do have to take some blame for that. ||The “club” is actually ok, it’s just at that price point I expected more. It’s nothing like the swanky resorts on the other side of the island and it is a little bit isolated, but this is not really an issue as the island is so small that getting around is really easy and quick (we hired a motorbike from next door for 300 bhat a day which was really good value).||The pool is ok, not the largest ever and it doesn’t really have a killer view. The beach is nice and looks back towards the mainland. If you want to have a nice quiet time without much hussle and bustle then this is a good spot for you. ||The room was ok. Big bed and hot shower. You might want to get the staff to spray your room as mosquitoes were buzzing around.||We got dropped off and picked up by the speedboat that you get at the terminal on the mainland. That was about 700 bhat return for two. Also don’t be surprised when you stop at the police pontoon and have to pay the 200 bhat national park...
