Ordered room service frok that restaurant in Ao Prao resort which included Pad Thai prawn and Tom yum prawn. The prawn were awful and not fresh - grainy and mushy which is typical of for en prawn for too long period.
When we called room service, they did not be over us and sent someone to check. We asked for a different Tom yum, chicken or pork if possible. They said OK, but instead of doing a new Tom yum, they took the existing soup and removed all the prawn then simply add the pork mead into it. Appalling for a resort to treat complaints about their...
Read moreAo Prao Resort is a super nice, pleasant hotel on Koh Samet. We felt very welcomed from minute one. The staff really stand out, especially Wan and Mint from the Restaurant Service Staff are two super warm ladies who make sure you want for nothing. But also the others are very kind. The food is delicious, you have two menu cards to choose from, good wines (I had the two redwine which are served by the glass and not whole bottle). The fruit shakes are fantastic, the atmosphere on the terrace in the evening for dinner is very cozy and the musician who plays in the evening really puts you in a good mood. Every evening we spent there was a great one! Big thanks to the...
Read moreI don't often leave negative reviews but the steak sandwich with onion soup dip was absolutely horrendous. First, the steak was over-well done and covered in gristle. It was sliced into chunks, which isn't conducive to a dipping sandwich. The soup, presumably intended to be a caramelized french onion soup, was a mix of seasoning powder and sweated minced onion. Please rework this recipe... better quality beef, thinly sliced, with thinly sliced caramelized onions, in au jus from the beef, with a little gruyere. And maybe serve a side salad instead of two sliced...
