Khun Anna — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Worst place I've ever been. Waited for food for 1.5 hours with no other costumers in the restaurant. When we arrived they warned us that the serving would take 20 minutes. That was totally ok with us. After more than an hour later, we told them that we wanted to cancel if the food didn't come soon. After another 15-20 minutes our starter finally came. Our main course came right after. We found 2 black, very long hairs in one of the dishes, which we gave to the waiters. We ordered some expensive dishes, more expensive than the other restaurants close by. It was poor quality. We asked for a discount for waiting and the hairs in the dishes.. And then the chef came out of the kitchen and started yelling at us. She was very rude, yelled and accused us for having no money, to not want to pay, for not wanting to pay the staff, to not having said we wanted to cancel, she threatened to call the police and put words in our mouths, that we have never said, and told us that it have to be our first time in Thailand, because we didn't understand it took so long. My parents have been travelling til Thailand since 1996 and I have been since I was 6 years old. We have NEVER EVER tried anything like that. And thank God for that. All a long the staff was saying: I'm sorry, I'm sorry while my sister was paying our bill at the cashier. . All in all I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy...

We stopped by Khun Anna on Koh Samui because the place looked really cozy and inviting. The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone.

However, despite the restaurant being completely empty, several mistakes happened. The wrong drinks were served, and the food was not as described. For example, my papaya salad with seafood was made with apples instead of papaya. Portion sizes also varied a lot, and considering that, the prices felt quite steep.

The atmosphere itself is nice, and the staff are friendly, but unfortunately I can’t recommend this place. There was no offer to correct the mistakes or bring the right dish, which was disappointing. A shame, really — with such a pleasant setting, it could have been much better. Based on my experience, you’ll likely be happier...

Sieht wunderschön aus. Besitzerin sehr sympathisch. Nett empfangen, zum Tisch begleitet, weit vorne hingesetzt, dass von außen ersichtlich ist, dass jemand im Restaurant ist. Cocktails angeboten zur happy hour für 100bat. Gericht des Tages empfohlen. Für die Kleine einen Teller mit Bananen als Aufmerksamkeit gebracht. Sehr vielversprechend. Karte aufgeschlagen, teurer, macht aber nicht, das kann man sich mal gönnen. Besitzerin war während der Geränkebestellung mit am Tisch. Vermutlich war die Bedienung neu. Kann ja Mal sein das da was schief geht. War auch nicht sooo einfach zu bestellen, aber auch das ist nicht ungewöhnlich für Thailand. Mein Caipirinha war mit Cola, war aber trotzdem gut. Hierfür ist ein Stern in Ordnung. Aber ab hier absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Fünf Personen am Tisch. Erstes Esses kam ohne Reis, also nur zur Hälfte. Jedes Gericht kam etwa 10 min versetzt. Das Essen von der Kleinsten (3) kam 40 min nach dem Ersten Gericht. Der Reis kam erst als wir nachgefragt haben. 20 min nachdem das Essen schon auf dem Tisch stand. Der Letzte hat alleine gegessen. Ein Essen wurde falsch geliefert. Das war aber wenigstens gut. Drei der zwei essen waren nämlich überhaupt nicht gut. Sehr fettig und geschmacklich einfach sehr sehr schlecht. Wenn ich in Thailand eine Reissuppe bestelle, möchte ich keine Gemüsesuppe mit Reis... So sahs aber aus und hats geschmeckt... Tiefkühlsuppengemüse, Erbsen, Mais, Möhren, Sellerie mit Reis, wie von der deutschen Oma und in jedem essen waren Pilze, selbst im Pad Thai. OK, das war trotzdem gut. Aber das ist meine dritter Thailand Aufenthalt. Das Essen war Drei MAL so TEUER wie im einheimischen Restaurant und ich habe noch nie so schlecht in Thailand gegessen. Kein Wasser auf dem Tisch und mit Stäbchen hätt ich auch gern gegessen. Die Besitzerin kam leider nicht mehr. Die Bedienung war mit der Rechnung überfordert. Hat auch nochmal 10 min gedauert bis sie alles mit der Hand aufgeschrieben und zusammen gerechnet hatte. Der Abend zuvor hat vergleichsweise 350 baht gekostet... Hier waren es 1500 baht für sehr sehr schlechte Qualität.

Aber bester Tipp wie immer. .. Egal wie heruntergekommen es auch aussieht... Immer da essen wo viele Einheimische sitzen.

Das ist die zweite Bewertung die ich in meinem Leben schreibe. Hierher wurde ich im Leben nicht...
