We got married at The Culture on March 1st 2025. I chose this location because the sunset view, the amazing communication from their event planner, and the very reasonable prices of their all inclusive wedding packages.
Ceremony - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
The ceremony was perfect and so beautiful. They decorated and planned exactly what we requested without any exception. The bouquet was the EXACT replica of the picture I emailed them! The staff took care of everything, we just had to show up looking good! The ceremony moved like a well oiled machine - everyone knew their part and we got to focus solely on each other.
Wedding staff (planner, photographer, officiant) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Our wedding planner Chi was fantastic and so sweet. She made sure everything went smoothly, fixing my train, taking photos and sending them to us right after, and she made a water color painting of us on the beach and gave it to us at checkout!! Our officiant Mr Alfredo was hilarious. He was to fun and relaxed which made the whole situation very comfortable. His prepared speeches were beautiful and meaningful and he did a great job directing the event. Our photographer was great too. Haven't gotten the photos back yet, but the previews she showed me looked way better then I expected!!
Communication & organization - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
I communicated with a person named Supansa through email for booking the elopement and transport. They were so kind, fast to respond, and easy to work with. Their amazing service is what finally convinced me to book here, as I was looking at many different options!!
Accomodation - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Super comfortable room! Great bed, lots of towels, lovely shower, fairly good soundproofing. Breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff were very nice. The location is great, with a surprisingly quiet beach, planes flying right overhead, 7/11 and cheap local restaurant right across the street. Perfect beach for swimming, the water was so calm compared to Lamai or Chewang. Lots of bathrooms on the property, free water and snacks available in the lobby was a fantastic touch. The one downside was they could use more pool & beach chairs, often they were all saved with towels with nobody using them.
Private dinner - ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
The private dinner included in our wedding package was interesting. The food was pretty good : a taco - like salad was delicious, a squash type soup which was good, and a BBQ plate that was okay, the chicken and squid weren't very good but the rest was good. The service was a bit disappointing though. After we recieved the taco salad, we didnt recieve more food for 50 minutes. We had a personal waiter and I think he fell asleep behind the bar? We had a videographer who had to stay late and wait the 50 minutes to get the final entree shot, it made me feel really anxious and guilty for the videographer so that kind of a downer on our wedding day 🙃
Breakfast in bed - ⭐️/5
This was included in our wedding package, and it was really confusing. The app did not have enough info, the man at the front desk couldnt explain it to us, so it took us a very long time to figure it out, and we couldn't book in advance which was inconvenient. The in room breakfast options were very limited so we ended up just skipping it and going down to the buffet because we knew it was delicious.
Overall: 4.5 ⭐️. There were a few hiccups with the closing details, but the ceremony was perfect and for that reason would recommend The Culture to anyone who is looking to effortlessly elope...
Read moreFirst of all I’d like to state that we had a very nice stay at the resort. It’s a smaller resort, beautifully designed with spacious rooms, gorgeous furniture and a stunning outdoor area. The pool is just magnificent and the grass area with sitting bags and views on the ocean is great as well.
Having said that there’s a couple of things which could be improved to really provide that 5-star feeling. upon checkin I would’ve expected a small welcome drink to make us feel personally greeted and welcome The breakfast was good but not great. The warm foods were sometimes a little cold (sausage, bacon, hash brown especially) and the empty dishes were sometimes left in the table while 4 staff members were standing around and chatting. The room cleaning was not the most thorough: after the room was cleaned we still found lots of hair in the ground (probably no vacuum cleaning?) and the mirrors and glasses in the shower area still had stains on them. Not that it affected our stay in just comparing to other 5-star establishments. The beach club next door pumps constant beats in your ears until 10-11PM. Not the hotel’s fault though. There is no lotion in the bathroom which is a necessary and standard amenity in a 5-star hotel IMO Wi-Fi in the fitness area is basically non-existent
Now the positive things: there is an app you can use to schedule room service, room cleaning, order single parts of the cleaning service (refill water, new towels etc.) which I like The staff is very friendly and kind Most breakfast options are tasty As mentioned before: beautiful hotel in general Hotel pickup, one massage and a candle light dinner were included in the booking Not too crowded Good location with local markets in the area and close to the airport I loved to see the airplanes starting and taking off but it might disturb others Complementary unlimited water The restaurant is beautiful We had a miscommunication regarding the scheduling of the massage service but it was handled very well Small gym with all the equipment I needed including water, towels and sanitizer Candle light dinner: lovely atmosphere and calming music including live music!
All in all we had a great stay but I would place the hotel somewhere between 4 and 5 stars. Why? Due to the points mentioned above. In general I still highly recommend the place due to its aesthetics and good location. I don’t really think you can go wrong here if you don’t mind the beats from next door and some hair in your floor (btw it was our hair it just hadn’t been cleaned). All those things are minor challenges that can easily be fixed. I hope the management sees this review and addresses these points. When fixed, this establishment is easily a 5-star one and I can wholeheartedly recommend the Culture Samui especially for couples. If you’re looking for a place with your kids: this is not the one. Then I’d recommend the Holiday Inn 10min down the road which is great...

I have returned from a most sacred pilgrimage — not to Orgrimmar, but to a seaside inn so glorious, even a bloodthirsty orc would stop mid-battle to admire the towel origami.
This inn, blessed by the Earthmother herself (and probably maintained by a few underpaid goblins), is located mere steps from the beach. Upon arrival, I expected a suspicious murloc or at least a sand elemental ambush, but instead I was greeted by the innkeeper — a level 80 hospitality shaman who smiled with the warmth of a campfire totem and checked me in faster than a troll in Ghost Wolf form.
The room? Spacious. Clean. So clean, I questioned if a forsaken had been there at all. The balcony view? Epic-tier. I gazed upon the ocean and felt emotions I didn't know existed — possibly because I’m an undead rogue with no pulse, but still.
The bathroom setup deserves legendary status. Both the shower and toilet were spotless, and they even included a Privacy Curtain of +10 Stealth, perfect for shielding one’s shame after too much buffet bacon. Whoever thought of this deserves to be promoted straight to Warchief of Restroom Logistics.
The pool? It’s not just a pool. It’s a massive, glimmering mana lake where adventurers of all classes gather to cool down, splash around, and contemplate their next talent respec. I swam like a tauren in heavy armor — not gracefully, but with enthusiasm.
But let’s talk about the buffet. By the Dark Lady, I have never seen such a feast outside of Brewfest. Plates overflowing with warm, delicious food — eggs that buff your spirit, bread rolls so soft they could be used as healing items, and fruit so fresh it had to be looted from a Druid. I hit the buffet like a berserker hitting Heroic Leap — multiple times.
The staff? Legends. Absolute Horde MVPs. Every one of them acts like they’ve just popped Bloodlust for customer service. Friendly, attentive, and possibly enchanted — they bring you what you need before you know you need it. One of them even smiled at me, which is bold, considering I look like I just crawled out of the Undercity.
Final verdict? Five stars. No bugs, no quests, no cursed items. Just peace, food, and a pool big enough to drown your worries in. I’ve set my hearthstone here. I’m never leaving.
For the Horde! (And for...
