As a passionate food lover, I always look forward to trying out new dining spots and sharing my experiences with fellow food enthusiasts. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Café K.O.B By The Sea left me feeling utterly disappointed and frustrated. Upon entering the restaurant, I was pleased with the ambiance and decor, which seemed promising for a delightful meal. However, this initial impression was soon overshadowed by the series of unfortunate events that followed. I ordered one of the house specialties, which the menu and the server both praised as a must-try. However, when the dish arrived, I was taken aback by its presentation and aroma. The dish appeared to be severely overcooked and had an off-putting smell. Despite my initial hesitation, I decided to give it a chance and took a bite. Regrettably, the taste matched the dish's unpleasant appearance and odor. The dish was not only overcooked, but the flavors were completely off-balance, making it almost inedible. I politely informed the server of the issue and requested a replacement or an alternative dish. To my astonishment, the server refused my request, stating that the dish was prepared according to the restaurant's standards and that there was nothing wrong with it. I insisted on speaking with the manager, who also upheld the server's decision and refused to provide a replacement or even an apology. This blatant disregard for customer satisfaction not only ruined my dining experience but also left me questioning the restaurant's commitment to quality and service. A simple gesture of understanding and addressing the issue could have turned the situation around. Instead, I was left feeling disrespected and undervalued as a patron. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Café K.O.B By The Sea to anyone seeking an enjoyable dining experience. The poor quality of the dish I received, combined with the staff's refusal to address the issue, has left an indelible mark on my perception of the restaurant. It is my hope that they will take this feedback to heart and work on improving their food and customer service...
Read moreUpdate Jan 2023 - Clearly under-staffed. Waited 25min just for a menu. Most of the tables are filled with leftover plates and cutleries. Come here only if you have lots of time to spare.
Update Nov 2022 - Insufficient staff on the floor and lack of initiatives. Food are still great as usual.
Previously : Everything(Atmosphere,View, food) js great except for one, the service. Ready to order and we pressed the call button which was available on the table (We were inside the air con room), after 15min a service staff arrived to take our order. The attitude was really bad which spoiled our mood before we even ate anything. New staff I suppose as we didn't see him on our previous few visits. We realise it always take awhile for their staff to notice if you are ready to order when you choose to sit in the air con area. Makes me wonder if the call button really works.
Nevertheless, this place is a frequent visit for us every month because of their tasty food.
Location : It's located along bangrak. 2min walk to BM minimart which sells a large variety of international groceries.
The only downside for me, the parking area is always filled with motorbikes. If you drive a car you will have to park along the road side which sometimes can be quite hard to find a spot.
Food : Excellent as always They serve western,Thai food and pastry.
Price : Decent pricing for the portion of...

You get a coffee cup which comes half empty with old and overly strong coffee and ask for a fresh cup = you get annoyed looks from the female Thai head waitress as if pulling teeth.
Come to order food but bring your own water bottle because you just came from the gym = more annoyed and unsure looks
I should clarify that I have been eating at this establishment regularly for a few years and these instances along with many others have occurred separately and on different visits and I had chosen to ignore them until my last visit.
On my last visit the power had gone out and I was unable to get a hot Americano (normally 80bht) which is included with the 280 bht breakfast so I asked whether I could get two soda waters instead (maybe 30bht each = 60bht total) or a soda water and a coke (70bht total) and I was told no. I could choose one thing only.
So it’s an accumulation of many little bad customer service interactions that are annoying. So at this place you get a great view, generally good food, western prices but without the western customer service experience from some of...
