Absolutely Awful Stay – Would Never Recommend
Our stay at B2 Pai Resort was, without a doubt, one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had – and it completely soured our time in what is otherwise a beautiful place.
To start, the shower in our bathroom was broken, blasting out scalding hot water with no way to adjust the temperature. We had to call someone to come up and fix it.
We found multiple bugs in our room, especially in the corners, which was unsettling enough – but on the second night, we discovered a lizard inside the room. We immediately contacted the staff, who came up but were unable to remove it as it disappeared into the wardrobe. We were forced to sleep with a lizard in the room – not something you expect when paying for accommodation.
By the fourth night, we returned to our room to find two more lizards. At this point, we had to demand to be moved to a different room. The new room we were given didn’t help much – the air conditioning didn’t work at all, leaving the room hot and uncomfortable.
If that wasn’t enough, on our final night, we noticed a leak coming from the ceiling, likely from the broken A/C unit. We went out for the evening and returned to find our bags completely soaked, as the leak had continued all night long.
We made multiple complaints to the staff throughout the week and again during checkout, but they were consistently unaccommodating and unhelpful. We requested at the very least a partial refund, which was refused. Instead, they handed us an email and phone number to follow up with – we’ve tried both, and no one has responded.
The lack of cleanliness, pest issues, broken amenities, and terrible customer service made this stay abysmal. Save yourself the frustration and book literally...
Read moreWe had an awful stay at this seemingly good hotel. We checked in without any problems, however the problems began hours later when we tried to sleep. The fridge made the most awful noise which kept us awake and we were unable to unplug it. Then in the middle of the night we realised the air conditioning unit was leaking all over the floor meaning we had to turn it off to prevent our belongings getting wet. At this point we were exhausted and tried to get to sleep and when we eventually did, were awoken by the cockerels / roosters kept next door. When I woke up I discovered several ants in my bed. As we were packing we noticed ants all over my medicine case and ants covering the desk. We had no idea how they got there as we hadn’t even been on the balcony. We eventually traced them to a hole in the wall by the telephone plug. We hurriedly packed the rest of our things to get out and asked to speak to a manager on reception only to be told they weren’t available. We eventually managed to speak to someone who told us we would have to request a refund through Agoda. We did, and Agoda contacted the hotel who ignored all other complaints except the air conditioning and blamed us for not informing them in the middle of the night! I have no idea what sort of hotel would expect a guest to pack and move all their belongings in the middle of the night as a solution! On top of all this, the hotel reception was filthy, the lamp stand was covered in cobwebs and there was literal dirt on the floor in our room around the bed. The hotel has a lot of potential if they fixed the air conditioning and actually gave the place a clean. Don’t waste your money on what looks like a nice hotel and go...
Read moreI'm wondering if I should start with the Pros or the Cons as they can both be pretty convincing, particularly depending on your method of transportation.
If we start with transportation, it is likely a negative as the location is oddly very close to the walking street area (especially if you have a car or motorcycle) while also being quite a walk (250-300 meters) on a remote road without a 7-11 or other convenience store or restaurant "just" next door. In a nutshell, the place isn't catering to pedestrians. A family with a vehicle is the demographic this hotel is either seeking or stuck with...
The slippers in the room were revolting. They are obviously disposable slippers that have been used by what looks like dozens of guests.. more than they should have been. The condition of those slippers are so shocking that just seeing them in the closet could put one off of this hotel instantly.
Other than the trauma from seeing those slippers, I found the hotel to be at least acceptable in all other areas. The building is relatively new and due to the isolation, it is quite peaceful and relatively quiet although as previously mentioned, quite close to the heart of the town.
Many of the rooms on the first floor have direct access from their rooms to a shared wading/swimming pool that is shallow for the safety of the youngsters.
The rooms appear clean, the TVs look new but are not smart TVs and the air conditioning which I tested worked well (although A/C was not necessary on this December 20 2022 trip). The mattresses feel hard in a cheap way, not in the firm supportive way.
All things considered, B2 is a relatively...
