Pai Walking Street night market was one of my favorite experiences in Pai. Every evening the town completely transforms, and the main street fills with lights, music, and the most delicious aromas. Walking through, I felt the perfect mix of excitement and relaxation.

The food was definitely a highlight for me. I tried several different street stalls and everything was both tasty and affordable. From Thai classics like pad thai and khao soi to fresh fruit smoothies and even a few international options, there was always something new to try each night. I also enjoyed the vegetarian choices, which made it easy to eat lighter when I wanted.

What made the night market special was the atmosphere. Street musicians played live music in the background, creating such a warm and welcoming vibe. I loved stopping to listen while enjoying my food. The cool mountain climate made walking around really pleasant, even when the street was busy.

Beyond food, there are small shops selling handicrafts, clothes, and souvenirs, and I found a few unique items to take home. The prices everywhere felt very fair.

Overall, Pai Walking Street felt like the heart of the town. It’s lively, fun, affordable, and full of charm. I would definitely...

Vibrant and must-visit attraction for travelers. Held every evening, the market offers a variety of experiences:

Food: It’s a paradise for food lovers, featuring affordable and delicious Thai dishes such as Pad Thai, Khao Soi, grilled skewers, dumplings, and the ever-popular mango sticky rice. Vegetarian and vegan options are widely available, making it inclusive for all dietary preferences

Shopping: The market is a hub for handmade goods, including jewelry, clothing, bags, and art, reflecting Pai's creative and artistic culture. Souvenirs here are unique and often crafted by local artisans

Entertainment: Live music, street performers, and fire dancers create a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The mix of locals and tourists makes for an engaging social scene

Tips: Visit with cash as most vendors don't accept cards, and come hungry to fully enjoy the variety of food. The market operates from around 4 PM to 10 PM, so plan accordingly (most of vendors...

The night market is a must visit. I am from Thailand and very accustoms to Thai night market but a walk and small talks with the local really showed a true genuine hospitality. The food is delicious. Must try Yunnan noddles which hold such a special history of the WWII Chinese refugees settling in these remote area of Thailand. The Yunnan noddles here will likely be the only place to get such authentic food that is made by a group of people whom are fading away with time.

Another menu I loved was the vegan wrap sold by a 40-something lady at the left side after walking til almost the end of the road. The salad was so fresh and everything was made on the spot even the salad dressing. The salad is delicious and the price is so reasonable.

Delicious mixed fruit nutella crepe! Delicious! Favorite...

Pai Night Market, some will say it’s overrated but we didn’t think so. Best of halal foods on one stretch that can be found just opposite the Masjid. Great tasting and affordable prices which we can say one of the best in Thailand. We hope this will stay like this forever. Great ambience, chilled crowds no rowdy ones, great to be visiting this kinda of place which is very welcoming and laid back. It is just colourful and slow probably due to the drizzling weather and not on a peak period. The locals are friendly and most of those Vendors are English speaking, probably they are the newer generations which carried over their family businesses. Pai, we love you. We’ll surely visit you again if we are going up north.
