I was a single traveller, and paid about S$150 for four nights (Fri to Tues) at this hostel. ||||The room is huge and accessible by elevator, and the bed and toilet are clean. It is sparsely furnished, with an old CRT TV with some international channels (though you'll have to flip them one by one instead of pressing the actual channel), an open wardrobe, a (thankfully cool enough) air conditioner, a dressing table and chairs. While they provide a cake of hand soap and two sachets of "shampoo", you're better off using your own. There is no hot water boiler/flask and hairdryer though you can borrow it from the counter. There is a small fridge that is also sufficiently cold for your drinks.||||You unlock the room with a physical key rather (locked with door knob) rather than key scan; a little disconcerting but at least they don't ask to deposit your key at the counter when you leave the hostel for the day. ||||Checkout is at 12 noon and they provide luggage service until you are ready to leave for the airport, though the luggage is just placed at the counter rather than behind a dedicated and locked storage room.||||Safety wise, it is along a busy street packed with activity and human and vehicle traffic till midnight or so. The street is lined with hostels, restaurants, 24-hour convenient store (7-11) and numerous (questionable) massage parlors. It is an 8 minute walk to the City Line Train station Ratchaprarop, where you can take it directly to the airport. If you are dragging a luggage case, you're better off considering a tuk-tuk or cab to somewhere convenient; walking to the station will be a nightmare given the road conditions (both physical and vehicular).||||All in all, for the price, it is a decent hostel where you cannot expect more than bare minimum service...
Read moreI came to this hotel by train all the way from Don Mueang Airport and it cost me less than THB 50 to get here although the journey are long but for the price I paid I am glad with it.||If you landed at Don Mueang you can just cross the street and take the State Railway Train to Bangkok Station and purchase another ticket to Makkasan St which also cost you less than THB50. You can walk from the station to this hotel about 800 meter. ||||During my stay, my room was made up everyday. They changed the towel, replace soap, shampoo, toilet roll and cotton bud. AC was working in an excellent condition too. You may leave your bag at the reception if you check out and need to only leave the city later for free.||||7-11 located only few steps away from this hotel and ample of massage place and restaurant nearby.||||Pratunam is less than a KM away. You can just walk rather than taking the Tuk Tuk. ||||If you need to take train to the city, you may need Tuk Tuk or a cab to get you to Petchaburi MRT station. Then you work your way out from there.||||It is also possible to walk to Siam Paragon and Siam Square from this hotel. But its about 5km walk if you willing to do so or else you can take a cab.||||My room is equipped with small fridge where they give you 2 water for free and replace everyday. The beers are chargeable. But you can always drink it and replace it later. They wont know :P There is no kettle in the room, for hot water you need to get down to the reception area.||||WIFI is working like a charm.||||Good stay and would def come again...
Read moreI stayed here for short period. The room size is right, the price is nice .. just around USD 30. ||||The location is not good if you want to walk to get public transportation like buses / BTS / MRT. Definitely this location is in the center of Bangkok, but also in crowded area with tourist shops and stores. So things you pay around here would be more expensive than elsewhere. Apart from that you have to take taxi or motorcycle out of this small road to the main road if you want to explore Bangkok by yourself.||||Food is all around, and convenience stores are nearby, plus with many massage places -- which I'm not sure about the quality - not look professional at all.||||The reason I put 2 star for this hotel is that ..||||Room facilities are dated and not in good function. My room is a bit dirty. You can't open the window to get fresh air. And lastly, OLD aircon doesn't work well enough to even put the room in cool temperature. ||||I couldn't sleep the whole night because of the aircon problem. It worked, but not good. And Bangkok during summer is very hot .. so choose a new or well managed...
