Room and bathroom are very beautiful, spacious and clean.||The resort is close to the entrance of the national park.||The transfer to the airport was booked and organized for us.||Breakfast variety is good.||We have been to Thailand before and have never been treated in such a disrespectful and unfriendly way.|We were told to pay a "penalty" because there were stains in our towels (sun screen or make-up). The amount of this "penalty" was greatly exaggerated and no explanation offered on how it was determined.||The water in the swimming pool was very cloudy - asking staff about it, we were said this was because it was a salt water pool and that this was normal. On the photos the water is much clearer though. We have been to resorts with salt water pools before and it was not comparable.|On our third day there there were workers at the pool during the whole day.|We weren't offered a discount for not being able to use the pool.||At departure we refused to pay the "penalty" for the towels and this was accepted by the employee because of the pool situation.||We had stayed at the beach the weeks before and had bites from sand flies - in every conversation, the employee mentioned these bites and commented on our bodies, which we found especially irritating and rude.||The breakfast is served to the room in clingfilm. It seemed to had been preserved in the fridge, eggs and pancakes were cold. There was no coffee or tea offered with breakfast, we had to make it ourselves in the room.||The seating furniture at the terrace was not clean.||The view to mountains and forests promoted doesn't apply to the...

A big thank you to Dave from the hidden hotel. He organised a 2 private day tour for me with transfers. Everything was so seamless! The hidden is a very special place - private, eco style, tranquil and super comfortable. I recommend a bungalow with the outdoor jacuzzi to really enjoy the place. The breakfast each morning delivered to your bungalow was amazing. They have options for everyone especially conscious of dietary requirements. I am vegan and Dave had a wonderful option which is in top 10 hotel vegan breakfast I ever had. 3 days of nature paradise and warm Thai hospitality - I hope to be back to enjoy a longer stay at the Hidden and explore more of Khao yai. Their onsite restaurant is also great! They have a Nespresso machine in the room and nice products with bathrobes. Very comfortable after a long day in the National park.
Next the wildlife tour - the whole purpose of my trip!. Dave organised a tour for me. Jum was my guide for 2 days on program D. Definitely request her! She was amazing at spotting wildlife big, small and tiny. She also gave lots of information about local special medicinal plants which I really loved. The highlight of course was seeing wild elephants, exotic birds and gibbons without disrupting them from a distance. Her love for nature and her job was so genuine and I really respected her for this. But the best part was walking away with a new appreciation of wild nature. There are a lot of tour options, but if you spend the extra money for a private tour, you will not be disappointed and have a truly...
Read moreWe stayed in July for our 5th anniversary.
Dave the manager was exceptional, as with all his staff. They made our stay so memorable.
Dave called me to ask me about my request before my arrival. He planned the anniversary surprise meticulously. Thanks for letting me score points with my partner!
He also walked us through the facilities and what is good around the area. We visited a very quaint vineyard at his recommendation! We also caught a glimpse of the migrating bats at dusk.
The staff were always readily available to send us to our room on the buggy just as we stepped off our transport from outside.
The room. It was beautifully designed and very big. The individually controlled mattress was awesome. We enjoyed the patio and the back 'yard' very much. The outdoor jacuzzi was lovely. The bathroom was so huge. And the room smells wonderful.
The compound was lovely and private. There was only 11 units (more under construction) so the pool wasn't crowded at all.
There are 7-11, supermarkets and other shops just 2-5min walk from the resort, not that you need to get anything. Everything is available in the resort!
Breakfast is served in the room and though it's not buffet style, it's more than enough to fuel us to start the day right.
Dave is right, 2 nights is not enough! But it's truly relaxing and we were missing it as we checked out!
We would definitely return to The Hidden Village in the near future and would not hesitate to recommend this...
