This is our third visit to this hotel. However, the last time of our visit was prior to the Covid 19. I have to admit that our last visit was not that memorable. But we decided to give this hotel another try. We booked this hotel for 2 consecutive nights. In short, this visit is much better than my last 2 visits and I can see many improvements.||Located in North Pattaya, Pullman Pattaya G Hotel has one of the best beach access hotel in the area. The drive from the Highway to the hotel is a small alley but the beach that we get is worth the effort. The beach is nice and clean. It is also very private as there are no outsiders or traders coming to this area. It may due to the fact that the beach is private access. Comparing to hotels in Central Pattaya, the hotels in North Pattaya have less locals and tourists. The name of the beach is Wong Amat. The name is clearly translate as Amat Family Beach. This is due to the fact that during the early part of the 20th Century, this area was once a property of Amatayakul (or Amat) family. Later in the 20th Century, these areas were sold and transform into the hotels and resorts. This is making this area more unique than other part of Pattaya (which were either the former fishing communities those transform into resorts or state-owned beach areas) as the area has less local access to the beach area. If you want more privacy, the Pullman is one of the best choice hotel to choose. ||Arrival on at 8pm on Friday night, we leave Bangkok after work on a rainy day.. The hotel was surprisingly crowded. We learned later that there are 4 groups arriving on the same nights. These groups came from large corporate such as Banks or petro-chemical firms for their annual seminars. So, the hotel staff informed us that they upgrade us to the executive room on the highest floor (12th) at the main building with Ocean view. As a Gold member of Accor group, we have been offer the welcome drink at the restaurant. The hotel has only one restaurant. So, we decided to having dinner along with our welcome drink. I forgot to mention that the carpark was very packed on our arrival day. The security staff is very nice. He helped us with the parking closer to the main entrance and even giving us a hand to carry our bags to the reception. We are appreciated by his kind services. This is one of the most improvement from our last visit (my last visit, we did not get any help and having to carry our own bags to the reception. This is a significant improvement for this visit). I am very glad to see this excellent service from hotel staffs.||For the room, we've got a nice executive room which we can see the ocean from the balcony. The room is large and well decorated. The room has modern set up with full facilities. There is a small sofa bed closer to the window. From the balcony, we can see ocean and the Pattaya City clearly. The toilet is modern. The bedroom part has a nice wooden floor. While there are many positive things about this room, there are a bit of improvement point that can make things much better. First is the shower area. While the shower has perfect water flow and the rainfall shower is awesome (there are 2 shower units' rainfall on the ceiling and normal shower unit). There is no door that separate shower from the toilet area (there is a glass that is separate half of the area from the main toilet). As a result, the water spill from the shower to the toilet area, if we are using normal shower (it is recommend to use the rainfall shower instead). There is no bathtub in this room (last visits were deluxe rooms and there are not bathtub as well). But I understand that bathtub is an old fashion, which no longer popular in the modern hotel. Still, there are people who still love them as well. Second, the plugs at this hotel are stiff. It is quite difficult to get my computer adaptor to the plugging unit. I believe the hotel staffs know about this problem. After my inquiry at the front desk, the hotel staff asked the house keeper to get an adaptor plug in for us. So, the problem is solve. (another excellent service from the hotel staff). Third is the electric current. I tend to see that the speed of my phone charging tends to be slower, while using the phone charging plugs closer to the bed area, Fourth is the pillow. While the pillow is modern design and good for healthy sleep. It is a bit hard comparing to other luxury hotels. I believe the hotel may gearing towards modern design and healthy sleeping environment. Last, the noise from the corridor can be heard at night. I believe this is a rare occasions. But during my stays, there were many groups coming back closer to midnight. So, I can hear their noise coming from the corridor. But generally speaking, the hotel has excellent room. ||Moving to the catering part, we ended up having every meals at the hotel restaurant. Therefore, I have to separate them into 3 categories.|1. Breakfast- we choose breakfast inclusive in our package. So, we have buffet for our breakfast every day. The station separates into Thai and Asian cuisine inside the main restaurant. The Western style breakfast by the poolside. Quality wise, the breakfast buffet is average. I believe the quality is the same with every visit that we experienced from this hotel. However, I have to admit that the egg selections are very limit. The good part is that they have Asian style fried egg (crispy layer). But there are only hard boiled egg, fried egg, omelet, and scramble egg. The lack of soft boiled egg, Thai styles panned-egg (ไข่กระทะ) poached egg, and egg benedict, which are standard for luxury hotels in Thailand nowadays. If the selection can be expand, it will make the egg stations better. The selection of meat selection on western part tends to be limited. There are only chicken and pork sausages and crisp bacon. The inclusion of ham selections, soft bacon, English sausage or Frankfurter will definitely improve this section. While the Thai and Asian selection can be reduce, there are selection of curry and many stir-fried those I think it is unnecessary for buffet style breakfast. Meanwhile, they have excellent toast and bread section. But the toaster has extremely low heat. I have to get my bread through the toasters 3-4 times until it is properly toasted. My suggestion is to work on the heat level of the toaster machine. Generally, their breakfast is around 3.5 out of 5 for the meal.|2. Dinner buffet. The hotel offered Dinner buffet on Saturday night. The selection of desserts are excellent. But the meat selection is limit. They tends to focus heavily on the seafood selection especially the crab selections. For me, I am not a big seafood fans.|3. A la carte. I have to admit that the a la carte is the best part of this restaurant. If you are looking for a nice Western meal, their restaurant offer one of the best selection and having excellent taste. On our first day, we have soup, salad, and steak as our dinner. The dinner came with fried vegetable in butter and Potato Wedges. I asked for sour cream to dip with the wedges, and their staff came up with it for us (in Thailand it is not easy to find sour cream at the restaurant- as Thai people tends to have mayonnaise instead). The steak is cooking at good temperature. On our second day, we have Salmon and Beef steak for our a la carte. The beef cooked perfectly (as I asked for Medium Rare) and the fish is cooking very well as well. The restaurant staffs provide excellent services. Especially, two waitresses (the girl with small built and another one is a girl with short hair) serves us very well. Also another young waiter who looking after our table. He is very nice and polite. The staffs at the restaurant having excellent service minds and tends to get what we request. ||Generally speaking, Pullman Pattaya G Hotel is an excellent hotel. If you are looking for modern style hotel, then this hotel is a good choice for you. My recommendation is to get the room on the main 12 floors building. As they have better view and closer to the facilities. Another complimentary to the hotel front desk, who help us with our request such as adaptor or bell services. The security staffs on our checking out day are very nice and helpful. As we checked out at the same time with the 4 groups, the bell staffs are helping with many guests. The security staff saw us carrying many bags to our car. He came to help us carrying those bags and put them into the car for us. This is displaying excellent service minds. I have to admit that the excellent services gave us much better impression for this hotel comparing to our last few visit. So, we will definitely come back to this hotel...
Read moreI recently stayed at this Pullman property in Pattaya with my family, and unfortunately, the experience fell significantly short of expectations. Having previously enjoyed an exceptional stay at the Pullman Khon Kaen, I anticipated a similar level of quality and service. Regrettably, this location felt comparable to a budget hotel rather than an international chain property.
The issues began before arrival when attempting to confirm my reservation. I was unable to reach the hotel directly using a standard phone line despite residing in Thailand. Instead, I had to route the call through Accor's general staff, which was both inconvenient and peculiar. The staff member who eventually answered displayed a somewhat curt and indifferent demeanor, lacking the attentiveness one would expect from a hospitality professional.
Upon arrival, the reception desk staff performed adequately during check-in. However, the restaurant staff appeared visibly fatigued and disengaged. When I attempted to redeem my welcome drink voucher, service was notably absent—staff members consistently disappeared rather than attending to guests. What particularly troubled me was the stark disparity in service quality: foreign guests received considerably more attentive care, while Thai guests like myself appeared to be treated as an afterthought. The atmosphere resembled a casual neighborhood eatery where customer satisfaction seemed optional.
The guest room itself was pleasant, though the furnishings and fixtures showed their age. In contrast, the housekeeping staff were exemplary, providing service befitting the Pullman brand standard.
The most egregious incident occurred at breakfast. Upon arrival, staff informed me that only two breakfast vouchers were available, despite the reception staff explicitly confirming four vouchers during check-in. When I raised this discrepancy, the restaurant staff dismissed my concerns with visible annoyance, instructing me to resolve the matter with reception themselves. This unprofessional response, treating a paying guest as though making unreasonable demands, was deeply disappointing.
At reception, staff initially corroborated that only two vouchers existed in the system. After considerable persistence on my part and near exhaustion of patience, the original reception staff member who had promised four vouchers intervened and confirmed the correct allocation. This breakfast ordeal was inexcusably poor for an establishment of Pullman's reputation.
Overall, this stay represents a significant waste of my Stay Plus benefits and additional expenditure. For a major international hotel chain, the service standards, staff training, and operational consistency were unacceptable. I cannot recommend this property and suggest potential guests consider alternative...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Pullman Pattaya Hotel G for a two-night stay, booking two rooms for my visit. Overall, my experience was a mix of positives and negatives, and I’d like to share some details to help others know what to expect.
The Room and Amenities
The rooms were decent in size and comfort, offering a clean and modern design that suited the needs of a short stay. The bedding was comfortable, and the overall room setup was functional—ideal for travelers looking for straightforward accommodations without any extravagant extras.
Booking and Service
Booking was smooth, and the check-in process was efficient. The staff were courteous and helpful, ensuring that all my inquiries were addressed promptly. Their professionalism helped create a welcoming atmosphere despite some of the challenges encountered during the stay.
The Construction Issue
A significant drawback was the construction activity taking place directly in front of our room. The noise and commotion from the construction, especially during early mornings and late evenings, proved quite disruptive. This unexpected disturbance detracted from an otherwise calm environment and made it difficult to fully relax.
Additional Facilities
I was also a bit disappointed with the facilities on offer. The swimming pool, which looked inviting during the day, closed early at 8 pm. For those who enjoy a late evening swim or a relaxing dip after dinner, this might be a letdown.
Dining Experience
Breakfast at the hotel was adequate, but it fell short of expectations regarding freshness and variety. While it covered the basics, I was hoping for a more vibrant and freshly prepared selection to start the day, especially given the hotel’s upscale positioning.
Overall Experience
While the rooms and service met the standard expectations for a hotel of this caliber, the construction noise, early pool closure, and the less-than-impressive breakfast significantly impacted the overall experience. For future guests, I recommend checking in advance regarding any scheduled maintenance or construction activities if a peaceful environment is a priority. Additionally, if you’re looking forward to using the pool late in the evening or enjoying a standout breakfast, these factors might be important considerations before booking.
In summary, the Pullman Pattaya Hotel G offers standard accommodations with reliable service, but it comes with a few notable drawbacks. The experience is a mixed bag that may be best suited for travelers who are flexible and willing to overlook some inconveniences in exchange for a convenient location and...
