A Perfect Mini Escape from Bangkok – Villa Maroc, Hua Hin

Just a few hours’ drive from the city chaos of Bangkok, Villa Maroc in Hua Hin was the perfect escape I didn’t know I needed. Tucked along the serene beachfront of Pranburi, this Moroccan-inspired boutique resort transported me far beyond Thailand the moment I stepped onto the property.

The architecture is stunning – think vibrant tiles, arched doorways, and pops of deep blue and terracotta. Every corner feels like a curated photo opp, yet still manages to feel cozy and intimate. I stayed in one of the pool villas, which came with direct beach access, a private plunge pool, and the dreamiest rooftop terrace view for sunrise and sunset moments.

Service was warm and attentive, with staff going above and beyond without being intrusive. Breakfast was a delight – simple but well done, with both local and international options served with a sea breeze on the side.

What I loved most was the quiet luxury – no crowds, no noise, just peace, beautiful design, and the sound of waves as my weekend soundtrack. It’s an ideal spot for couples, solo unwinds, or anyone looking to hit pause without straying too far from the city.

Would I go back? Absolutely. Villa Maroc is now on my list of go-to weekend...

Beautiful place but overpriced and they will try to rip you off , a family member spent 1.5 million baht in this place and they try to charge us 1500 baht to call a cab ? ( What happens is they pay the cab driver 750 baht and pocket 750 for themselves. Download the App Grab , works very well in whole Hua Hin , also you can take the drivers number at the end of your ride and use WHATAPP to contact him/her ....will save you a fortune , we went from pay 1000 baht a ride in average to 150/200 baht . Back to this place , yes is beautiful ...guess what ? is many beautiful affordable place here too ! Plus none of the safe in Alibaba ( name the call part of the accommodation related to the build ) worked ! Most Thai accommodation provides a electronic safe to keep your passport and money while you are diving/ swimming/climbing.... blabla none out of 7 rooms were working, the room were filthy and the shelves to keep your clothes covered in dust . disgusting. the cleaners never shown...

We love the hotel, despite a series of strange circumstances and very run down room. ||We booked a pool villa which located at a quiet long beach. At the first glance, we fell in love with it straight away and after our first swim, we decided to extend our stay for a night longer. However, after lunch, we realized that the water in a sink didn’t drain properly, the sink stopper (bathroom upstairs) couldn’t stop water or anything. Tiles in bath tub broken out leaving lots of green moss between. Rain leaked from a speaker at the ceiling. Doors cannot close properly. Wring size fly screen so it was so beaten up from bad fitting. Breakfast is very poor. Far under average.||Staffs are kind though. Especially K Kae (thank you for everything you tried and did for us). Would we go back? Yes! But please renovate the room first. Your place is too special to let it run down that bad.||Thank you to K Earth too. You made our dinner so wonderful...

Not sure what to say but here it is. 1. Waiter asked us if we want red shiraz or white shiraz. Suddenly, white shiraz miraculously out of stock 2. Pineapple Mojito had no alcohol nor pineapple in it (was standard virgin mojito), the waiter said there is "Little Bit Alcohol". 3. Half of the table received their food / the other one did so after the first half finished 5. One person received just rice & the main dish after 20minutes 6. Billing was an issue for another review 7. Had mezze appetizer. We were still eating it. Waiter started bringing food while we were still having appetizer 8. QR code for payment was for a closed bank account. Felt awkward trying 10+ times. I think employing 20+ year old server with zero communication skills is not a road to go when average dish cost 400-800baht. Have to say the food itself and the architecture were great.

The resort itself is in a good location compares to other resorts around there, it has good and proper parking area, and convenience is opposite the resort. Decorations and enviornments are morocan as the name of the resort. (I have never been of have knowledge about moroco, please see the images from other reviews.) Thre room is not very neat, but facilites are good enough for me, things which bugs me are the light switchs, they are not usability, but it’s not that much. Staffs are very goods during my visit. Smile, gently talking, help and support almost everything, that make my vacation. 4 Stars is my votes, not much to minus, but not top-notch to gain 5 though.
