I stayed at 2 other Phuket Airport-area hotels and this one was probably the best even though it is slightly longer walk than some others and one of the less expensive ones.||1. One of the owners is there much of the time to make sure everything works perfectly. Old-school senior management experience and impeccable politeness would be a rare asset to any 5-star hotel in any major metropolis worldwide. Everything in and around the hotel gives that warm feeling of being taken care of and being in perfect working order. Not that other Phuket hotels are lacking, but this one offers something slightly extra.||2. The staff are happy, uniformed, and go out of their way to help. Up in town, a staff member noticed me and offered a ride back to the hotel on his scooter. ||3. The area is surrounded by greenery, quiet and perfectly clean. You don’t miss being closer to the beach and the National Park - I feel this area is better.||4. Rooms are large, soundproof, comfortable for work and leisure, with strong air conditioner in place. Strong wifi with multiple signals.||5. Printing boarding pass and free one-way airport transfer worked like a breeze.||6. Main street is 10min walk away. €15 will buy you Thai Chinese dinner for 2 or 3 people including deserts, although a basic lunch for 2 can be had for €3.5. Some restaurants accept credit cards for payment but have a lower limit (500 baht) or add 4% to 12 baht on top of the bill, all of which is a good deal. To get to the main street one needs to walk and meet some dogs and, when it’s less warm, pigs and chicken. However, dogs are very sensible and are simply trained to protect farm animals and stick to the territory of their farm. Just ignore them and stick to the street. They don’t bark much and don’t attack. No culture shock here.||7. Scooters can be rented inexpensively on-site. I would think they are good quality, taken-care-of scooters.||Would stay here again if pass through Phuket. Can imagine actually getting...
Read moreWe arrived at pukhet late on the night. The hotel staff arrived at the airport to fetch us and drove us to the hotel for check in.
We had a morning free before setting off to patong beach in the afternoon. The staff was very kind and send us to the Nai Yang beach (so that we do not need to call a cab, and of course we happily paid for the service). She recommended us this nice restaurant - The Beach Restaurant, which serve delicious seafood with marvelous view and environment.
We arranged a transport to get back to hotel with her and then she called is a taxi to Patong. Knowing that we had a wheelchair user she even purposely order a larger taxi for us at the same price! Upon departure she even come out personally to see us leaving! We felt so touched and felt at home.
Will definitely recommend this for those who need a short stay near the airport. The environment is nice and scenic, peaceful and quiet. The hotel is new so please bear with some minor problems (the lift is still in the process of installation when we arrived).
Food can be an issue for certain people. There is no restaurant or convenience store near the hotel, so you may need to bring some snacks with you on the way in. You can find cup noodles, instant coffee and some simple snacks for sale at the hotel. The hotel also provide catering, that if you need some simple hot food they will cater for you.
Highly recommend for their service and...
Read moreBe aware of this hotel!! They are trying to deceive you when asking about how to get to next destination.
We slept in the hotel for one night. The day we left we asked the hotel manager (!!!) how much should cost a bus ticket to Khao Sok and he said 400 thb per person. He offered us to take the driver of the hotel to the bus station for 300 thb and that the driver will help us buying the tickets. When we arrived the bus station the driver insisted that we will give him the money and he will buy the tickets for us. we refused, and after negotiating about the price with the desk lady we paid 300 thb for a ticket. After 2 seconds she snicked amount of money to the driver and he immediately went away. It turned out the the price for a ticket was 220 thb instead of 400 as the hotel MANAGER told us. And the hotel manager takes 80% more for what??? For taking us to the bus station?? We didn't even bought the tickets from the hotel, and we didn't asked for help! It is not less than a...
