We were here for a part of a desert trip, and I am comparing my experience here with a night we slept at a camp in the cold, so my review may be biased depending on second lodging experience in the South. The hotel was basic, but clean. There were clean towels, hot water, and shampoo in the bathrooms, but the sink in the bathroom was dislodged and not properly attached so it could be a safety hazard that the hotel should not leave to be. Also there was a smell in the bathroom, so it seems like in general they need to look into their bathrooms and get some maintenance done. ||||The room was clean and basic with a small TV, and there was also a small balcony, we arrived at night, so I did not take a look at the view. ||||The dinner and breakfast was buffet style, nothing special, but you do have more options for dinner than you do for breakfast. There were oranges for fresh fruit for both. Drinks for dinner were to be purchased separately including water, but there were drinks available for breakfast in the buffet. ||||I really have no complaints about the hotel. It was basic, but clean and had all the facilities we needed...

My husband requested cold bottled water & there was none. Had to buy 2 bottles that were hot as were stored OUTSIDE in almost 50c of heat. Husband went to restaurant to see if there was any there or cold drinks all they had was Tunisian coke or Fanta which was lukewarm. He purchased this & went to get himself some food & when returned to the table the drinks had gone & he spotted 2 waiters sat down across the room drinking what could have been them...coinicidental or what. He said the food was inedible apart froma bit of salad. Most unhelpful staff. We placed the hot bottled water in cold bath water to cool down, meanwhile i felt horrendous. Finally managed to drink the water & slept & felt alot better in the morning. Went toi breakfast & the milk was curdled so we packed up our stuff & waited in reception. Luckily the desert trip compensated for this diabolical hovel, but i really think Thomas Cook & other tour operators need to stop...
Read moreWe checked in around the evening. We were surpised to see that water was not included during diner, even though it was 40 degrees outside. They charge you 3 or 4 tnd gor a bottle dependent whether they like you or not. It is also forbidden to bring your own water.|There was no fridge in the room. When we bought some ice in the nearby store, the manager became angry and was shouting something in Arabic. |At lunch they give you the smallest amount of food possible to maximize their profits. ||On our business trip we had many rooms with bugs. Two had ants. One had cockroaches. One had a lizard. ||In the evening it is impossible to take a shower because the dacilities cannot handle all the people taking a shower at the same time. There also is no warm water. |The AC worked very well...
