so where do we start, we booked a family room unaware that the room was just 1 room with 1 double and 2 singles in it and just a shower and toilet in a separate room, not very good for blended families, how ever we did pay an extra 300 dinars (about £75) and upgraded the room which was well worth it, kids had there own room and shower/toilet as did the adults.
This is not in true fashion a hotel as such, rooms were like apartments separate from the reception/bar/dining area, the staff were all nice and friendly and enjoyed a tip or 2. Even in our upgraded room we had no kettle facilities, the Tv didnt work and one that did didnt have any channels for the kids (this is aimed at younger families whilst getting ready) Wifi was good 90% of the time and was throughout the resort less the dinning area (but tbh that was good as kids always on fones lol)
Food, well this was unique definitely not catered towards the British tourists, what i wouldn't of done for some Bacon, Sausage or even scrambled eggs and thats just breakfast, lunch and evening meals were very disappointing but kids loved the pasta, the snack bar was equally a let down, same old stuff everyday, and if you wanted anything nicer it came at a cost (for us coming off a holiday in Turkey to Tunisia it is miles different so please at this place dont expect Turkish type all inclusive hospitality) no free ice cream apart from 1 type of ice lolly, but onsite if you want something different u pay about 8 dinas for a decent ice cream.
Drinks bar, well the selection was Beer, Whisky, Vodka, Gin or Rum again compared to previous type hols bit of a let down, any fancy cocktails came at a price, service behind the bar was painfully slow in a area that was really hot as they had no aircon, the waiters were pleasant and if you tipped them they would be a bit faster at bringing your beer out, TOP TIP take your own PINT glass they serve the beer in little glasses thats prob like a 3rd of a pint if your luckly
Entertainments, the team worked hard at getting folk involved in activities throughout the day, be aware that there are folk who walk the pool side calling Strawberries and offer you some then get you paying for them, it gets annoying after day 1 of this, there is a chap called Mr Lover Lover who does Henna ink work, from my wife and her daughter stay away it cost them 190 dinas for shoody lopsided ink work, there is another chap whos work does look really good
Swimming pools, the have 1 main one and then just around corner they have 1 with the main slides, these are fun to go on, my only issue was day 4 (and i know it happens and sometimes cant be helped) but a kid decided to S**t in the main pool, on alerting the life guard he got the net scooped it out, walked around the pool side where everyone is and dumps it over the hedge and that was it, so kids needles to say didnt go in for a day or 2 after that, also please be aware that we all sliced our toes on what every there is under the water which made for some uncomfortable walks.
Beach, the beach is nice as is the sea, you've ppl there trying to sell you rides on camels or this that and other but was nice beach
Overall view, this is my view from a British side, this isnt very well aimed towards British tourists, and again coming from a Turkish all inclusive hol the other yr to this was a massive difference, would i come back....... maybe but maybe to a better resort that is catered towards british, maybe but not with kids i...
Read moreLet me start with our first day: we purposely booked two rooms at the front because i have a disabled mother and two younger siblings. We didn’t get the rooms we booked for instead or rooms were the furthest away. We wanted to get the yellow rooms or almost the blue ones but we got the orange ones so our way from the reception to our rooms took us 5 minutes really really far away. ||And let me talk about the rooms now: it was liveable in there the beds are okay, the blankets are bit dirty i got one with yellow marks but this is also kinda acceptable. The bathroom was a disaster. Every time we took a shower everything flooded the floor and the shower is in the same hight so there is no way for the water to go. Therefore, the whole room flooded every single time. Additionally we had a cleaner and she was the worst problem in our vacation every |morning we were freaking out in the following im going to say why. ||We were 4 persons in one room she always gave us three Towels 2 big ones and a really small one. We always took the small one to clean the bathroom due the shower problem so we always had 2 Towels and we were fighting who get them because we were 4 people. One time i showered and the water flooded afterwards the cleaner came in to clean obviously our room was flooded and she disrespectetly took a video and showed it my mom. my Mom is in a different room like cant you communicate with us and this video thing is really disrespectful another time hear me out the pillows are not clean okay thats why i used my underwear to cover the pillow because i dont want any acne or pimples. So she made picture of it and also showed my mother and send it in the group of hers they have this cleaner group on whatsapp like you can talk to me if there is any problem with it. It feelt like she wanted to embarrass us. Also our experience with the cleaner in general was not great i also went to the reception a few times but nothing really changed my sister cleaned more then her, cleaned more then her and we bought our own and cleaning stuff because she don’t wanted to make her job correctly.| Anyways in a all inclusive hotel everything should be included cleaning, food, drinks, games and nice service i already talked about the cleaning thing if you want unhygienic pillows blankets or in general a unhygienic room Samira Club is for you. ||The food: there are always two man selling fruits and nuts they let you try a grape for example and then let you pay for it all inclusive behavior?. Anyways the inclusive food in the hotel was ok. i was on a diet and they served everything with oil or butter so not much choice. there is a salat bar i also tried it but i found a bug in it so i never ate it again so nasty that means they are not washing properly the vegtables!!!!. Also the plates, forke and knives are so nasty they are not washed properly and while you eat there are a lot flies |Flying around and flying in you food. Another unhygienic example are the drinks they don’t have much glasses so they use the same glasses everytime without washing them properly. The service is also not the best if you give then tips they love you and treat you good if you don’t they don’t care about what you worried about and mind you this is called an all inclusive hotel nah...
Read moreJust come back from a lovely holiday in Samira Club, here are some brilliant pros and some cons of this hotel:|Pros: |Animation Team; by far the BEST thing about this hotel, they are amazing and the best entertainment we’ve had in any hotel, they’re kind and friendly and want you to enjoy your holiday as much as possible, they’re some of the most talented people we’ve ever met, the effort they put into the evening shows is incredible, they honestly don’t stop, all of them are constantly happy and dancing around the hotel. There’s volley ball, darts, aqua aerobics, yoga, salsa, stretching, bowls, Zumba (and Zumba on the beach), kids clubs and probably more but these are what we know were available and went to - a special shout out to Torres, Kali, Mosquito, Coco, Momo, Pablo & Dino for making such a special effort with us, our holiday wouldn’t have been the same without them!|Cleaners: very polite and put swans on your beds etc. the only thing is we weren’t sure if they were changing the sheets every day, they do change your towels every day and clean the floors |Hotel staff: very polite, friendly & helpful we had a problem with our shower and it was fixed immediately |Beach: the beach is very clean and attached to the hotel, it has staff working on the beach, a beach bar and activities available for you to do (jet skis, paragliding etc)|Shop: there is a shop right in the middle of the hotel which sells pretty much everything you could need.|Water slides/aqua park/pool: amazing that these are on site and available to use within the package, no added cost for using these, pool is a great size ||Cons:|Bathrooms: the bathrooms in your rooms are questionable and really require a redo they’re very dated and hard to use.|Food & drink: mealtimes were a struggle for us, it’s hard to make a meal at any time, we didn’t go hungry or anything but the food isn’t great, this could be because we’re English so it’s not really catered for us. There are ice lollies but ice-creams, fruit in the day, decent cocktails, burgers, chips etc you have to pay for on top of your all inclusive package (not expensive, but not what you want when you’ve paid for all inclusive) |Sun beds: sunbed war galore, if you’re not putting your towel down at 7am pronto you’re not getting a bed in the sun around the pool, there are plenty of sun beds around but a lot of them are under covers so shaded all day||Pestering: the salesmen are lovely, but you are approached constantly about buying snacks and excursions - this isn’t necessarily specific to the hotel, we went into the town and were approached a lot there too, we think this is because they’re just excited for the tourism and I will add that they are extremely polite but it can feel a bit much at times ||All in all we had a fantastic time and the pros definitely outweighed the cons, the hotel could do with some amendments and touch ups but for what you pay you can’t really complain!|Sophie,...
