We arrived at Egem Pension in the afternoon and were greeted by two of the staff at reception. The hotel was quite easy to find from where the bus dropped us off (that was a different experience riding with Kamil Koç - I'd recommend Pamukkale). Anyways, once we arrived the staff could tell we were quite hot and bothered and immediately got us some cold water, which was greatly appreciated. They took both our suitcases up to the room and showed us about.||The room was exactly what we expected, spacious enough for two people, clean, tidy and well kept. The AC worked immediately and the shower was hot (not like our stay in Istanbul). The breakfast which was included in our booking was across the street in a small cafe, which comprised a typical Turkish spread including hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, bread with jams and honey and a couple of Turkish cheeses, with tea and coffee.||The services and amenities provided by the hotel were in line with our expectations and what they advertised. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it and would stay there...
Read moreVery kind staff welcomed us first. They helped us about parking with their free parkin place in the parking chaos of Canakkale roads. Parking lot was just 5mins away by walk. They gave us a big comfortable room that can't be placed in a humble pension. Because we all know right ? Pensions are just the places where you can sleep on a single bed with a pillow and nothing more... this is why they are cheap and this was the thing we were looking for. Egem Pansiyon just broke the habits and gave a good name to the pensions in my opinion. We were so lucky to find that pension in Canakkale. If I would look for a super sized and king like rooms, I know I had to go to a 5 star hotel but I don't have that much money. With its value Egem Pansiyon gives you a great accommodation experience... Strongly...
Read moreOur room was clean and the beds comfortable, but the shower head was broken and the air conditioner did not work. We were tired and just dealt with it the night we got in, and told the staff about it next morning. We had also booked a tour for Gallipoli that morning. Within an hour of our reporting the problems, the staff had rooms for us in a nearby hotel (Egem Hotel - there were no available rooms at Egem Pension). We packed up our things and left for the tour. When we returned, our bags had been delivered to our new hotel rooms. We got better rooms at Egem Hotel, but paid the same price. Of course we weren't happy about the the problems, but I still give Egem Pension 4 stars for overall quality and their responsiveness in fixing...
