Ask for price or not, they will scam you. Very pricey place for not that so good eat. The octopus salad and the grilled shrimp were good, the calamari and the fried fish was overcooked, the grilled fish was bland flavorless. the bill: you MUST ask for each and every price since they " don't have a menu" when we asked for it, they said they have no menu, check upstairs instead, I went upstairs, no prices showed anywhere. I think the only reason they don't have a menu with prices so they can scam you the way they wish. I mean I never been in a decent restaurant where they charged you for a stale bread. they charged us 3 times for water, while they provide only one which we didn't even order it, when I inquire about when I was hit by 1260tl bill, they said this is for water and bread. it's marked in the bill 3 water, they charged me 8 times soda, again they provide 4 soda that we didn't order. when I complain, they refund 4 of them. the calamari was a very small overcooked portion for 96tl. very small portion of octopus salad 96tl, 8 shrimps 200 tl. We didn't ask for prices (big mistake), we expected high prices since no menu & prices were provided but still we didn't expect such a scammy bill. it ruined my 1st evening in Canakkale. Not a bad place at all but with some room for improvement. The mezes tasted bland to some extent but fine in end. The fish -and I can’t stress this enough, it’s not their fault, but it had simply gone bad, so we had to send it back.

While drinking raki there are some service rules that a venue must adhere to: if the guest wants ice, always remember to top the raki up with water and leave room for the cube. Never drop the cube directly into the raki. Secondly: watch the table, when the raki glasses are empty ask the guest if they want to pour their own glasses or if they want the waiter to do so. This didn’t happen which unfortunately brings the service experience down.

While waiting to be seated another waiter who was about to service another table asked us to move instead of walking around us, which, compared to the prices doesn’t live up the expectation. And generally, the staff could smile a bit while servicing the guests.

This is a pretty well known restaurant in Bozcaada. It’s huge; maybe 150 tables. You first think they can’t be good since they are huge but somehow they continue to be really amazing years after years. I once ordered several small plates (meze tabagi) and the waiter suggested that we get half portion of each. Usually waiters don’t really care about how much you spend in their restaurants; actually they do and they want you to order as many things as you can, but the crew is always honest and friendly and we appreciate that a lot. Food is delicious and they have SO many options. Prices are quite reasonable which is not a common thing in Turkey these days. The only downside would be the fact that people smoke and you are exposed to smoke the whole time :( that’s my only reason to give them 4 starts...
