Not too sure how the hotel got its 4.2 rating. Perhaps it was once better run by a different management.
Also for the record we have stayed in similar range of hotels in Konya and other smaller cities in Turkey and the experiences there was way better than this.
Service: POOR front desk staff seemed very busy and were not helpful at all. What they were pre occupied with we do not know as hotel seemed quite empty. Inconsistent information was told time and again.
Parking : POOR was informed upon check in and in room brochure that guests could inform valet 10-15 min prior to have their car sent over. Upon checkout we asked for the service. Front desk didn't even make eye contact and just said they are busy right now so if we wanted them to do it it would take 25min. We ended up dragging our luggages through the streets and the parking garage ourselves.
Room condition : POOR toilet was not clean and the pillow case had a whole in it. -no AC option even though it was 26 degrees outside and location of hotel was at an extremely busy and noisy junction. We were given another room which was a downgrade at no refund of our paid upgrade to a backroom that smelt like a kitchen and heard loud music till 1 am

Read moreThe Situation; We're travelling as a family group of 5, which means that in most places, we'll need two rooms to fulfil our needs. The stay at Kule Hotel was a 2 Person Seaview Room and a 4 Person Family Room booking.
The Good; A great location right out the front of the ferry port with a wide range of restaurants in close proximity. Great service from the staff and management. An excellent breakfast to be had in the rooftop restaurant. I well recommend a sea view suite or corner suite to make the most of the location, which is right in the heart of it all.
The Not So Good; The Valets changing the settings, seating arrangement, dash/ info/ radio settings for the short drive in our hire vehicle was really annoying; Every time we retrieved the car, we had to spend 5 minutes re-adjusting everything back to how it was for our next drive. The noise from the nightclubs next door was a bit annoying, but stopped at midnight both nights we were there. Not the hotels fault, just something to be aware of when staying here. Certainly not a deal breaker.
The Verdict; Yes, I would stay here again and would go for a Seaview Room as it's worth the...
Read moreThe hotel was organised by our tour company Mat McLachlan Battlefield Tours, and our expectations were not disappointed. It is a nice hotel is located near the ferry wharf and in the centre of the historic town of Canakkale. It is near plenty of restaurants and bars and ideally located for a walk around the town. Most of the staff spoke english and were friendly and affable. Our room overlooked the ferry wharf, was large, clean and beds comfortable. There was a mini bar available in the room, air conditioning (which wasn't working at least we couldn't turn down the temperature). No room service, no milk, There is a small lift that gives you access to all floors up to the roof terrace where breakfast is served from 8am. The breakfast food was basically a continental with option to order omelette. The omelette I had was quite tasty and a large meal be aware. Overall a good place to put your head down and get off to a day of exploration at Troy...
