Strawberry Marina Hotel — Hotel in Çeşme

Fantastic experience of what hospitality has to be.||||I think it was destiny… My son and me met a gentleman, a great human being in Kusadasi and he saw me very worried because there were no boats crossing to Samos and I was concerned to don’t arrive on time to Athens to get my flight to USA. This angel made phone calls and he sent me to Cesme where we were able to take the boat and go to Kios and travel to Athens and arrive on time to my destination. One of his phone calls was to his friend's hotel, he made the reservation for us and when we arrived at night everything was ready for us. I’ve worked in hospitality for more that 15 years and I know every detail about hotels and customer service and I have to say that Cilek Marin Otel is an example for the hospitality industry. Great location, everything was immaculate, everything works, breakfast is excellent, pool super clean but the best of this hotel is the customer service. The son of the owner was there welcoming us and he made us feel at home away from home. We had a wake up call for us, he called us a taxi because we were late to the port, he explained to us all the details where to go and how to buy the tickets and with a very sweet smile he wished us the best on my trip. Passing through on our travels from Girne port (north Cyprus) to Athens (Greece), via Tasucu Port (south Turkey) to Cesme (west coast Turkey) and Chios (Greek island), we stopped in Ceşme for our second overnight stay (first night was in Sultandağı, Şekerim Grand, see separate review).| |Conveniently located a short walk from the Castle and town centre, very clean, and well kept modern hotel.||I imagine in the summer I would have awarded this hotel a 5*, but not so well geared up for a really cold snap this winter. The rooms and hotel ground floor, are heated and cooled by stand alone air con units. The open plan layout of the reception lounge and bar areas, all finished in porcelain and stone would keep it cool, but in the winter, and particular these few days, not so warm. I would also say, that the cold plated breakfast would be fine in the summer, but a hot offer even scrambled eggs would have...

Çeşme marinaya çok yakın, temiz bir otel. Mutfak kapılarını açık tutarak şeffaf bir şekilde temiz olduklarını hissettiyorlar. Her yer hijyen kokuyor. Oda büyüklükleri ideal,açık büfe kahvaltısı ideal, kendi yaptıkları sipara böreği, pişi ile yine kendi yaptıkları browni de var kahvaltıda. Domatesin kabuğunun soyularak servis edildiği benzer kriterlerde bir otel görmedim daha önce mesela. Servis edilen kapalı kahvaltılıklar herkesin bildiği kaliteli olduğunu düşündüğümüz markalar. Sadece oda sayısı benzer otellere göre biraz fazla olduğu için havuz ve şezlong ne kadar yeterli bilemedim. Şezlong olmadığı için masa ve sandalyelerde oturanlar oldu mesela. Bir daha gelir miyimiz derseniz, maalesef konum ve hizmet olarak çok içimize sinse de 16 yaş altı kabul ettiği için tercih etmeyeceğimiz bir otel. Bizim de çocuğumuz oldu, çocuk sesine karşı bir aile değiliz ama bizim çocuğumuz küçükken kimseyi rahatsız etmedi, bu otelde de çok çocuklu aile vardı, çoğu çocuk da gayet makul davrandı ama bir aile vardı ki (bizim şansımıza) iki çocuklu ama öyle böyle çocuklar değil, nasıl bir konuşma, bağrışmadır tarif edemiyoruz. Ama onlar çocuk diyeceksiniz, ben de ama anneleri babaları vardı diyeceğim. Çevreyi rahatsız eden çocuk değildir aslında sorun, buna müdahale etmeyen, çocuklarını çevreye duyarlı yetiştirmeyen anne babadır sorunlu olan.Otel sahiplerini tanıdıkları için mi bu kadar rahattılar (sadece kendilerinin kullanımında sandılar havuzu ve şezlongları ve otelde sadece kendileri varmış gibi anne baba ve çocuklar hepsi komple gürültülüydü) yoksa yapıları mı bu rahatlıktaydı bilmiyorum ama oyuncaklar etrafa saçılmış, terliklerin biri bir yerde, diğeri ötede, beride, yüksek sesle konuşmaları, anne babanın bunu umursamaması pek de kabul edebileceğimiz bir şey değil maalesef. Bu sebeple evet o aile yüzünden (diğer çocuklu aileleri tenzi ederek söylüyorum onlar gayet saygılı çocukları olan ailelerdi) bir daha bu otele gelmeyeceğiz sanırım ama siz çocuğunuz varsa gönül rahatlığı ile gelebilirsiniz. Otel gayet temiz, güzel bir otel. Sadece kafa dinlemek isterseniz 16 yaş üstü kabul eden otelleri tercih edin derim nacizane.
