My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour package in Turkey. From Mr. G (sorry, I forgot your the fullname!) the manager, Polat the owner, and his entire family I am very happy that we stayed at their place. We get to experience Turkish hospitality in Cappadocia, Polat went and his manager went above and beyond when we ran out of lira (to which we are suppose to blame anyway from shopping in the city and leaving our cards behind). They let us join in their dinner when we came back late from the cave tours. It is s like we are also part of the family. The entire village is very community oriented and close. The house itself is an actual home. I do not need to say more :) When I do come back, I will definitely try the hammam and the balloon that I missed the first time. For travellers, as Goreme is a small community, I suggest bringing in either USD or Euro, other currencies are not of so much value because it is not commonly used in this area unlike those two currencies. It will save you lotsa effort, I have experienced this first hand, so dont be like me :) Most restaurants are close early or family owned so if you know you are going home a bit later, just try to buy meals in advance or arrange some help or better bring your own snacks in...
Read moreI did not actually stay at this hotel but my interaction with this family run guest house was 5 star. Exhausted after hiking in the Rose Valley area for six hours, my mom and I stopped in to this hotel to ask if they could call a cab to take us back Goreme where we were staying. We were greeted very warmly by the ladies at the front desk and a cab was called. The young man who was working there visited with us and showed us around the guest house while we waited. The rooms looked very clean, the place had a welcoming and homey atmosphere and the roof top breakfast atrium and patio had a fantastic view of the valley and town (I can imagine a great view of the hot air balloons too!). There ended up being a mix up with the taxi after waiting for a while and the guest house owner insisted on driving us back to Goreme himself. I can only imagine that you would be treated like family if you stayed at this guest house! Thank you so much for your help and...
Read moreI went there on my honeymoon, once we entered the room we were fascinated by the mood, the old decoration, the rocks and everything. I payed already for an updated room that has turkish bath and jaccuzi. When we decided tu use the jaccuzi, a very bad smell came out of it, we were very disappointed, the internet was always off until the made a closed wireless for us in the last 2 days. The place is fair, not at our expectations, but the owner and his wife were very gentle and welcoming. Last advice don't take the offers for cappadocia tours from the hotel, because we payed 20 dollars extra for each activity, and when we faced them about this issue they always find an illogic response. Fair place, nice people, but the service was an "old school service" and expensive comparing the...
