I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Old Turkish House, and I must say, it truly is a hidden gem. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with exceptional hospitality that went above and beyond. The staff made me feel like a cherished guest, and their warmth added to the overall delightful experience. Now, let's talk about the food. The quality of the dishes at the Old Turkish House is outstanding. I highly recommend trying their Pottery Kebab—it's a true culinary masterpiece. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation in the traditional pottery added an extra touch of authenticity. And oh, don't even get me started on the Pomegranate Juice! It was a refreshing and perfectly balanced drink that complemented the meal perfectly. One of the standout aspects of this establishment is Ugur, the owner. Not only does he excel in creating a fantastic dining experience, but he also offers additional services that make your visit even more memorable. As a local guide tour, Ugur possesses a wealth of knowledge about the area and can arrange unique experiences such as the breathtaking Hot Air Balloon ride. He also assists with taxi services and accommodations at more affordable prices, which is a huge advantage for travelers. Furthermore, Ugur's talent as a carpet maker is truly remarkable. I couldn't resist purchasing one of his exquisite carpets, and I am completely in love with it. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident, and I am reminded of the Old Turkish House every time I look at it. Overall, I cannot recommend the Old Turkish House enough. It's a hidden gem where you'll find unparalleled hospitality, exceptional food, and an array of services that enhance your stay. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this place is an absolute must-visit.

The Old Turkish House Café was such a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is tucked away upstairs, so you don’t immediately see the tables from outside, but once inside there’s comfortable seating with a lovely view. The man at the entrance was very welcoming and even helped adjust the curtain to block the sun for us, which we really appreciated. Our waitress, Gizem, was fantastic—friendly, helpful, and spoke great English. She even had pictures of the menu items to show us, which made ordering much easier. We tried the chicken in tile with rice and the Kayseri ravioli. Both were delicious, but the chicken in tile was definitely the standout. They also bring a fresh basket of bread to the table, which was a nice touch. The service was fast, efficient, and attentive—everything we had hoped for after a very disappointing experience across the street at Orman, where we waited over an hour and never even got our food. The Old Turkish House Café completely turned our evening around. Highly recommend!

This place deserves so much more than 5 stars. It's a lovely, comfortable, homely, clean and pretty cafe. You will leave with a very full and satisfied belly and also a full heart. The food is genuinely delicious, i was smiling throughout eating my kunefe, it was so good! I don't like sweets, so this is saying something! Definitely try the testi, tender meat stewed in a clay vessel, you'll even get a nice little surprise to take home. The couple here are so genuinely kind and caring, you will not feel like you're at a restaurant, you will feel like you're with family. It was cold when I visited, they offered me to stay there if it was too cold to walk back, and then they offered me a shawl! I enjoyed our fireside chat with tea after dinner.

May be it's okay, if u first time in Turkish. No hospitality here - any place if we ordered main dish, it were always several plates with appetizers and vegetable salad. Here we ordered a dinner for two 2000 lira. We've chosen this place because of good feedbacks, but now in 2025 prices 2,5 times high then last year, and kitchen level is low. The atmosphere level is low too, lots of broken things, not accurate, it's clear that "for tourists may not try to do well, they will buy anyway". Prices are high , but it's no problem if dish is tasty. Meat doner was no meat, it's some kind of sausage. Red wine - 300 lira for 100ml, the worst wine I ever tasted. And no even a slice of tomato or salad, that grows just outside. A girl, the officiant, was good, very kind and attentive, that's why the...
